Great effort, Ewan. And very well done to Andrew too - never easy psychologically when you know you’re a level below the other three players. Looks like he did brilliantly.

Stop using that hack 03 2024? :) You get some free power but you lose a lot of control in my opinion. It's fun in friendly matches but bad when the pressure is high in torunaments, I sold it after just two weeks.

i don't think its so straightforward. if you saw it coming from the corner of your eye, you could know it's going to be a let and then just distract yourself and lose the point.

As usual, an excellent piece of video, it’s great to watch play at this level with the benefit of your commentary. I can’t honestly blame your opponents for taking the opportunity to replay that point…there is no way I’d do so in a friendly or ordinary club match, but in a highly charged competitive tournament you take all the breaks you can get, even if it sucks! I play my padel in Spain, but it’s really encouraging to see pádel taking hold in the UK, and with such strong play. Looking forward to getting some games in a new centre which has opened near where my son lives next time I’m back visiting!

Loosing on golden point can b very frustrating especially when u sometimes fight hard to get the deuce only to loose on gp. I find silver point better where the first deuce goes to advantage and the second deuce becomes golden point. It still speeds up the game and gives a fighting chance.

Small observation: you have a good vibora, good technique and timing, but you will win A LOT more points if you substitute that vibora for a BANDEJA 50% of the times. Deep floating bandeja, and then… BOOM!💥

@Funkytrip7315 күн бұрын
It really entered like a tenth of a second after his hit, so he must have seen it coming from the corner of his eye and could have been affected by it. Personally, if something like this happen I would make a honest assessment to myself: Was I hindered by it? If not, I would not ask for a let. Always hope for karma when I do that, but of course, karma often says f* you.

The camera angle doesn't show it well but it rolls from far from another court so he would have seen it from corner of his eye - intense game as well so no time to reflect on it properly

Your lack of aggression in that second match cost you being competitive. Stop pushing the ball around when you have an opening and smash the fuck out of it. These guys aren’t good enough to deal with hard pace when you play it at the right time.
@jj974914 күн бұрын
That's what I was thinking also. Too many soft shots but should have been mixed up with very hard shots as well since he is capable of hitting it out of court.
