Thanks for the video,staying in the second one shown for one month. Had 1 minor lock needed fixing and aircond wasn’t working cold enough. They were quick to fix the lock and service the aircon ~ full clean and checked the gas. It’s a lot colder now. Good value for money.

I still think the second place in the first video is the best value. You've got to be careful on the electric rates 10baht is extortionate, The government rate is less than half that! Just for comparison I live in a 2 bedroom town house which has a small kitchen, living room and a front yard big enough to park a large car. It's unfurnished so not for short timers but it's 4500 baht a month, water is free and government electric rates. Keep up the great video content. 👍

3 very friendly and professional receptionists, which is rare at this price level. The last room is a real bargain and looks decent so far. However, I couldn't stand it in the first two rooms for a month or even several months. Good area, but a rental scooter (4000 baht) would be a useful addition to the budget.

Even the most expensive room one month at a time at the Rattakit is only 16,000 THB ($456.49 U.S.)...while we pay an average of $1,500 U.S. per month to live in an average crappy 1 Bedroom Apartment in an average town in America and work an average job and live an average life. If you can maintain the discipline to keep your "social activities" within your budget you could really live a good life in Thailand.

Electric is crazy 10 baht a unit pretty much double the normal rate. The price is ok is you look at it as a total after considering the electric. The last apartment was the only one i would consider, coz the first two apartment are not discounted enough for a higher electric bill.

Very good informative video of an area with which I am not familiar. I think each place had it's strengths and weaknesses. From my perspective, the first had rather expensive electricity at 10 bt, the second had very small bathroom with the shower getting everything wet, the third had stairs only but a very good price. My question would have to be do they have secure parking for the tenants scooters?

I have to admit these videos showing cheap accommodations have been providing good value to me as a viewer. That being said, I stayed at the Icon Place shown in your other video for a couple nights recently (via Agoda) and was told by reception the monthly rate was 12,000 baht per month, not 9,000 (high season) or 7,500 (low season) baht per month as quoted in your video. So either they raised the price since your last video (based on increased demand?) or they have different rooms at different rates. I was a little disappointed.

@Anse-kt9gq10 ай бұрын
Yeah, everything negotiable, but that doesn't change the fact that the Icon starting point has increased. Today, I was quoted the same. For April & May 12,000 for quiet room with balcony. 9,000 for standard room. Pays your money, makes your choice 😅
