this makes no sense. You cant buy out old windows, its Microsofts product, and you cant just, turn operating systems into Linux. Everything down to the kernel is fundamentally different.

windows NT and linux are literally two different kernels and they have completely different executable formats and APIs. you can't "turn" windows into linux because you would be replacing literally every single part of the operating system and it wouldn't be windows anymore
