you should be using 90% or above alcohol concentration because in 70% there is water enough to damage electronics if not used carefully but u did pretty good job.

Wondering if more is better - usually I've seen GPUs that had a lot of spread on the thermal paste residue. I guess it doesn't matter as much, long as you're not covering too much. With CPU thermal paste application I think people are more afraid of putting too much, as heatsinks can apply hefty amounts of torque, which can make the paste spread out very easily.
