Hey guys, lets cover some things really quick. 1. Everyeone is mad that I used a "custom" AIB board for this test. First this is NOT a custom AIB board. This IS a founders board. Both this EVGA board AND my Founders card from NVIDIA boost to the EXACT SAME frequency of 1965Mhz. The ONLY difference between this card and the NVIDIA is the cooler, thats IT. And no, this FE cooler does not reach 84c like the 1070/80. It reached 72 which was low enough for the clock NOT to downclock. 2. "Jay, why did you mention the power draw issue??? Thats not fair!" - well because on my 480 videos I DIDN'T mention those issues people were mad. Now they are mad that I DID mention that particular issue. 3. The Founders edition card is $299. The FE is ONLY available at NVIDIA. No retailers or Etailers are going to be selling the FE. How many of you are going to buy direct from NVIDIA vs Microcenter, Frys, Newegg, Amazon etc? Not many Im guessing. 4. Why didnt you test Vulcan with DOOM? The same reason I wasnt able to test new Drivers yet. My 480 is with Ed at TechSource. Unfortunately is on a trip out of the country so it will be a few weeks until I get my card back. 5. "This card is $100 more and only does a little better" - No, this card is $20 more. The 8gb RX480 retails for $239 (and yes those are marked up higher than that right now due to availability as well) and the EVGA SC is $259 without rebate. THAT REPRESENTS A CLOSER PRICE MATCH THAN THE FE VS THE 4GB CARD PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT! 6. "Jay, why didnt you use a custom 480 board? Thats not fair blah blah blah" - Because they are unicorns right now Look, I chose the EVGA SC because its the cheaper card. No other reason than that. If I HAD used the FE then all the AMD fanboys would be rejoicing that the 480 IS $100 less and performs just as good. On the flip side I chose the EVGA since its cheaper and is more closely represents the cards people would buy which made all the AMD fanboys mad. You cant win with these reviews. People are always going to find something to nitpick about. With the exception of the cooler, which everone knows the custom AMD cards will run cooler the EVGA and the FE cards boost THE SAME. I ran all of my benchmarks on the FE and they were identical guys... this isnt some conspiracy. The difference is 72c vs the EVGA temp, but Im sorry to the AMD fans, the 1060 is faster in all DX11 games period. WHEN I get my card back from Edgar (Should be around the 27th)I plan to do a full test of the new drivers. But for those of you bitching that I should have done it the day they came out, my card was ALREADY in the mail to Ed. Simple as that. I am not the only channel showing that the 1060 is more powerful than the 480, but you sure like to make it out like I went out with a vendetta. You guys love it when I say that AMD made a great product with the 480, but you sure are fast to call me a fanboy if an NVIDIA product does beter. The ironic part is I have 2 AMD systems running in my house... a PC is a PC as far as Im concerned and I dont care which product you use so long as you enjoy your PC.

@GSXRNissan
@GSXRNissan 8 жыл бұрын
+Skazzy3 no but pascal scales near 90% check sli 1070 1080 tests. And so on SLI and DX12 it can scale GPU and VRAM so you get with 2 x 1060 for 500$ or 600$ ( 2 × OC Card ) the power of a 1080 with 12GB a real Titan X crusher. And all this with 2 x 120W stock or max 2 x 150W EVGA GTX 1060 FTW. So 2 x 1060 FTW need less power in W then 1 GTX 980ti. And this is the point why nvidia killed this option. I buy a GTX 1060 OC it is the best price to FPS version for Full HD and 2K gaming.

I am an AMD fanboy and I think the video was fair. Let's face it, kids, AMD is just second-rate with their hardware designs and have been since about 2005. And this is really unfortunate since it allows Nvidia to keep jacking prices with every generation. It's the same thing with Intel in the CPU market. I think Nvidia is a highly unethical company (for many reasons besides this) and I really hate them. But, I have to admit their hardware is better. It just is. The first step us AMD fanboys have to recovery is acceptance. We need to accept these facts before we can begin our treatment plans.
@jacksvk7690
@jacksvk7690 8 жыл бұрын
yep, but AMD did finaly something really usefull - if they havent released 480, Nvidia would most likely price 1060 at half the price of 1080 (and give it SLI fingers)... AMD made them sell 1060 cheaper, so much so that they had to remove SLI to not kill their own high-end cards... so, thank you, AMD, your fight with Nvidia helped us, customers, get cheap and powerfull GPUs :-*

Jack SVK Apple is 'special', but given providing basically a marketing monopoly to other manufacturers that compete against them, and almost the same things would be happening. - - - - - the Brackets that 1070 and 1080 sit in, means they're Overpriced compared to the past. GTX 400 was $350 and $500 for 470 and 480. GTX 500 was $350 and $500 for 570 and 580. GTX 600 was $300 and $400 for 670 and 680. GTX 700 was $400 and $650 for 770 and 780. (yes, 780 was Overpriced at launch, 770 was slightly overpriced) GTX 900 was $330 and $550 for 970 and 980. (980 slightly overpriced, moderately overpriced due to the relatively small perf gap between the two models) GTX 1000 is $380 and $600 for 1070 and 1080. (and we all know it's inflated ~20-25% above that, with forced lack of supply, everyone is doing that this year). 1080Ti will be what competes in bracket with the 980Ti, not the 1080. just as it's 980Ti and 780Ti. 780Ti and... 690 i guess. 690 and 590.

Are there any adults here? Clearly the 1060 is faster than the 480 period. However no SLI on the 1060 makes the 480 more appealing because of Crossfire. But then I look at it and say to myself I would buy a single 1070 before I bought 2 480's. So I think it really boils down to personal preference. I think it best to buy the best single card you can afford. And just for the record I just bought a 980ti lightning for 300.00 used. There will be a lot of used cards out there now that can be had for cheap. So if your really price sensitive then that is a great option for you. This Amd vs. Nvidia thing just escapes me. If your an Amd fan then buy Amd. Same for Nvidia fans. Both seem to make good cards.

I think the 480 is a great card at it's price point and worthy of consideration. All of these cards are very new and the best ones are yet to come. Thats why I bought a used 980Ti until the dust settles then I will buy a new card. I have 2 Pg278q monitors which the 980Ti drives just beautiful in 2k resolution. I'm not upgrading monitors anytime soon either. (These were 650.00 each) So again boils down to preference,need and budget. I understand the need to get the best bang for the buck.

Well... The Doom/Vulkan benchmarks do show, the 480 mopping the floor with the 1060. However, there aren't too many of those around. The price seems to fit the the performance of these 2 cards. It'll be interesting to see how the custom PCBs will do.

Like I said I think the quality of the 480 and it's price point are excellent. I am considering one for my son's system. I will wait for a custom pcb for sure. Bench marking can be a strange thing especially the way some games are optimized. The 480 is a perfect choice for my son because he games using 1080p monitors. That card will run them very fast at the highest settings. Anything more would be overkill in my opinion. 4k gaming still has a long way to go and is just beyond what most people are willing to pay for. I mean hell for a pair of 1080's and a 1200.00 monitor you at 2500.00.

That's what has me interesting in this mid range, as you mentioned 'right now' and that maybe true but not in every single case. Looking back on the 700's vs the 200's and the 900's vs the 300's, AMD cards seem to age a lot better, my 780 I'd consider the worst value card I've ever owned. The 390 for example is better in most DX 11 games these days vs the 970 and Vulkan the gulf is huge. So I wonder if the 480 partner cards in a years time will have closed the gap or maybe beyond since DX 12 titles will be common place in 2017 by the looks of it.

Don't looks at jays bullshit benchmarks, he didn't even test Doom Vulcan and other neutral DX12 titles, why? Because the RX480 is equal or better in those, Nvidia told reviewers to test certain games as shown in the leaked "Recommended games" on videocardz. Take these reviews with a massive amount of salt, Linus techtips, Tech of tomorrow and all those.
@toaster_bloke9999
@toaster_bloke9999 8 жыл бұрын
The only bullshit here is you wanting him to avoid the one off game that's made to run better on the 480 and Im struggling to think of many dx 12 titles right now, and not a single one that the 480 runs better in. Honestly blind AMD lovers are upset that reviewers aren't doing everything in their power to make the 480 look better
@goodgolymissmoly
@goodgolymissmoly 8 жыл бұрын
It's not a one off though, the RX 480 outperforms the 1060 in the majority of DX12 benchmarks. That's not even including Vulkan (mostly because the future of Vulkan is still uncertain,but we know without doubt that DX12 will become the main stay API) So with that considered, the RX 480 is still the better buy looking forward.

It beats the 1060 in Hitman and Doom with vulkan from all I've seen. At £50-60 cheaper at least for the 4gb model certainly makes it a better choice on a budget though and will be what I'll get, no doubt about that. But the 1060 still has more power, even if not worth the price

You're so clever my friend, they probally take away that feature because when DX12 and Vulkan that increase scalling of multi-gpu gets mainstream, SLI/Corss-fire can really kick some serious butt. But if that happens SLI GTX1060 might kill the 1080 so they skip that out to ensure the survival of 1080.

Weird, all the titles you benchmarked are gameworks titles, obviously suited better for Nvidia cards. Most benchmarks I come across of I found when put together would get you only an average of 5% to 6% more in performance. Some going up to 10% to 15% as well as others have the 1060 actually losing to the 480, though. Those where the 1060 lost were titles where AMD obviously had the better optimization. So in terms of power, you're going to find the 1060 to be on average about 5% to 10% faster, while costing about 30% more. Although this is if you got the 4Gb version (Which I would recommend as 8Gb is a little overkill, plus doesn't offer that much more performance). So in conclusion, on DX11 titles your gonna find the 1060 to win 95% of the time, the margin being anywhere from 5% to 15% on the more optimized Nvidia titles. While on DX12 titles and Vulkan you'll find the 480 winning some. With the 1060 if winning only by a smaller margin. Like for example in Doom, opengl gives the 1060 about a 20% lead, while in Vulkan. The 480 gets a 20% lead, even with the 1060 gaining some performance. Though that's just one game. So what I would make out of this, is that if you want a card that gets 980 performance at 250$ or more, and should do pretty good for another year or two on DX11. Go for the 1060. Though if you want a card that should still get pretty close to the 980, espically OC'd at 200$; and you want that card to be able to hold up for another 4 years or so (Also being able to Crossfire) go for the 480. Though in reality, both cards are going to deliver a similar experience. With the 480 you get crossfire and better performance on low level API's. While on the 1060 you get a little more performance for a little more cash (Depending on how much you spend) though don't expect to SLI, as if you'll want an upgrade you'll have to get an entirely new card in the future. So imo go with the 480 for better long term playability and less cash, or the 1060 for better current performance as well as more efficiency.

I'm sorry Jay, but this really feels like a bias towards NVIDIA. You should have compared the reference 1060 with the reference 480. Morgan Uther The RX 480 will definitely be better in the long run. Look at how bad the gtx 780 is doing now. It can't even beat an r9 280x and it use to beat the r9 290. AMD always has better driver support for their older cards. Nividia cards will perform well but you won't see them increase in performance over time. AMD's cards always perform better over time.
@levyroth

Strike Claw LOL. The GTX780 was released 3 years ago. These are like dog years in the tech world. What more do you expect from an old architecture? I change my GPU every 2 years, as anyone with half a brain should do. If you save 10 dollars every month for 2 years you have enough money to upgrade when the next best thing comes along. As for better driver support ... my R9 290X did not get the Wattman app for example nor any performance updates in latest games. It's an illusion that AMD drivers are better in the long run. It's because AMD historically has had much more computational overhead which was alleviated by faster processors, software evolutions and optimizations in games. Natively, not since the ATI 9800PRO and the 6000 series has AMD had a good GPU architecture.

Doing comparison's online have been a drag until i saw this. Thanks again! mainstream gamers likely already have GPU's that perform at 1080/60 and have for several years. i don't see the point in these bottom of the barrel performer cards if they can't push the resolution and the frames significantly further than several models of previous cards that already exist. I would expect in 2016 to see cards that deliver 1440p at 100Hz or greater for the $300 range, not still pushing 1080p/60 at that price point. The AMD RX 480 and GTX 1060 are a joke. no offense to Jay or this video, just saying in general since everyone is still harping on what cheap crap card they can buy to get 1080p/60 still when the market has been flooded with perfectly capable 1080/60 cards for several years already.

These lower cards push 1080 60hz at a lower price point because we have higher standards today. Since the higher tier cards are pushing 2k and 4k for the same price the old 1080 60hz card used too. Sorry I tried word that best I can. I do understand what you mean by them just making new cards and keep making the old Ones at a lower price. Architecture advanced as well. I'm sorry about the hate you're getting Jay because the plebs are being dumb and not using there brains and love to troll, Nvidia said 980 numbers and thats what they delivered the only issue with the numbers are that they are between 1-15 frames and sometimes going as high as 20 depending on the game and optimization, but from what i saw that the RX 480 can hit close to 980ti performance in DOOM vulkan, then why should i get a 1060, most people are saying the 1060 is a good card now and the RX 480 will be the better card down the line and it makes sense considering where amd is in the market and what they're doing, i think the 1060 is a great card but the RX 480 pulls ahead due to the future proofing and 8 gigs of VRAM tbh, plus paying an extra 20-100 bucks( depending on the card) can be worth it and not worth it but personally i dont think it is just considering how good the RX 480 is in terms of DX12/Vulkan, well minus Rise of the Tomb raider.
@Czakima

AND the 480 is Crossfire compatible but the 1060 can only be run as a single card, so with two 480 8GBs you can outdo the 1080 for far less money. When do we get to see those benchmarks? Oh wait, we won't on this channel...
@TheKyshu

I don't think RX 480 SLI would make much sense. Assuming the RX 480 is not AMD highest performance offering for this gen, I'd wait for, I dunno, the RX 490 or higher to come out, and then buy that. It would be a more sensible option, considering the actual performance benefit (or the ratio of performance to dollars for single card vs SLI). That is assuming you want an AMD card. If you live in Germany, I've seen both the 480 and the 1060 for the same price here, and in that case the 1060 single-card is the better option.
@XansStuff

+Kyshu There is merit to the 480 having Crossfire. In my case. It is difficult to come up with $400-$600 at one time, especially after paying bills. I can, however, usually come up with $100-$300. I could by a 480 now and a second one 6 months from now at a possible lower price.
@TheKyshu
@TheKyshu 8 жыл бұрын

True true, All i was saying is the RX 480 is a better future proof card and i left it at that due to Vulkan and DX12, well besides rise of the tomb raider which favors Nvidias level of cards and A-sync since most people dont understand that Nvidia and AMD's a-sync have different coding methods but i think AMD's is better considering the Frame increase they get compared to the DX11 counter parts.

And of course he picks the typical nvidia benchmark games that are all either optomised specifically for nvidia, or favour nvidia a lot more. KZbinrs need to learn to benchmark games properly. Choice of games is incredibly iimportant. Also not to mention he is comparing a reference design to a aib card, and overclocking them. ????? Not to mention he also convieniently doesnt have the latest drivers which don't just change the power draw, there are actually a lot of optomisations in there. Honestly this is quite possibly the worst video I have seen Jay do. I will however assume that it's not his fault and this is the way he is told to benchmark them by nvidia. Fucking scumbags. For freesync alone I would buy the 480 over the 1060 as i will save you a few hundred dollars. Not to mention that under dx12 and vulkan the 480 does beat the 1060. There are way too few games in this review to get a real idea of the overall performance. You need way more games, and more DX12/Vulkan titles (real DX12 games, Tomb Raider is a joke, most cards perform worse in DX12 on this game). You also used 3Dmark, why Firestrike only and not the new Time Spy test? And the EVGA card is overclocked.

A bigger point of criticism. Why not take into account that G-Sync has an added price tag of $100-200? Don't budget gamers want to play without tearing and without FPS-caps and input lag? It keeps amazing me that not a single tech reviewers on KZbin takes this into consideration. That price difference between G-Sync monitors and FreeSync-monitors won't change unless NVidia is going to subsidise it. G-Sync simply costs a lot more. That price difference makes up for the gap between the 1060 and the expected pricetag (around $400) of the 490. Just to make sure I just compared the prices of those brands which deliver G-Sync and FreeSync for the same models: same resolution, same refreshrate, same given response time (for whatever that is worthed and so on. The price difference is closer to 200 euro (more than $200) than it is to 100 euro. Only if the viewer already possesses a G-Sync monitor of a sufficiently high resolution it wouldn't matter (most don't!) and even in that case odds are that he might want to upgrade within a few years time to a nice HDR monitor for which you have to pay the G-Sync premium again. That's fine for the best card in the series, for the 1060 and the RX 480 we are talking about budget gaming! Yes, DX12-implementation for Tomb Raider is probably far from perfect. The code hasn't been designed for DX12. They improved it a bit but the amount of improvement and the huge variation between levels indicate that there is a lot of performanceimprovement possible.

Jay Thanks for this. I actually glad you also showed the EVGA card. I also look forward to your reviews on the custom versions *Everyone should hold off on purchasing until* we can *see those custom cards* for _both_ Nvidia and AMD. Reasons get the RX 480 (I'll cover both don't worry) a)Similar performance in older DX11 and the cheapest 4gb is fairly cheaper without signficantally affecting performace. ($199 vs $249 USD or £151 vs £189 UK or $255 vs $345 AUD ) b)DX12 and Vulkan performance shows the 480 does better (Gamer Nexus, Adored TV currently) c)8gb Option is important because both AMD and NVidia are going to likely press developers to optimise for textures 8gb as rx 480 has 8gb and and 1070 and 1080 (the cards NVidia prefer you to buy) do as well. d)AAA games will be optimized for AMD hardware. Current Gen consoles games are massive Cash Cows for developers vs PC Game sales. And guess what PS4 Neo and Project Scorpio are going to be AMD hardware. That's where the optimization will be focused. e)AMD recent past gen cards have aged better than similarly aged Nvidia cards. _Hardware Unboxed_ did a eye opening video on this to see what I mean. f) Crossfire is an option. You're not stuck to having to upgrade to one card if it doesn't suit your finances. Reason why the Nvidia GTX 1060 a) DX11 Performance and that massive Steam Sale Library.you cuurently own. b) Ah the quiet.... the only noise you want to hear is from the actual video game itself. c) Lower Temps. Budget build might mean budget case and not one that has optimised cooling. Load up certain games and crash. Dragon Age Inquistion I'm looking at you. d) Nvidia Pascal overclocks like a champ. e) What's AMD VR plans again? Seriously? Like can anyone tell me. Something to match simultaneous projection? Now points about price, temp and noice will change with the custom cards. Why I advise waiting for them (may not have a choice but to wait given current stock level of both cards).

Jayz, nice video, I think you are spot-on with the reason the 1060 in SLI will outperform or perform equally a 1080. Compared to SLI 1080, a way lot more people will definitely do an SLI(if possible) with a 1060 since it's more affordable and a getting a 2nd card is easier on the budget.

I actually have no problem with the SLI gone from this card... While SLI is better than it used to be, a single 1070 is likely to be a better overall experience than a pair of 1060 cards in SLI. SLI is nice when it works, a pain when it sort of doesn't, and terrible when it doesn't work at all... Crossfire is the same thing... Keep in mind that many of the people complaining are enthusiasts who do things that the general public doesn't do. Tens of millions of GTX 1060 cards will be sold to people who don't even know what SLI is, this saves NVidia a lot of development money better spent elsewhere.

You make a good point about how some people may only be able to afford a ~$250 card right now and then another one later in hopes to SLI/Xfire them. And you are correct about dual GPU set ups being pretty viable these days. But I would still have to say that they would be better off just selling their first card and upgrading to a better single GPU solution.

Thanks for the 4K numbers. That short EVGA card looks really nice. The 1060 looks like a no-brainer upgrade for $20. The RX 480 mostly looks like a bargain option if 4Gb is enough. SLI means nothing to me planning an ITX build. Card power improved 65% over the last 2 years, so SLI only looks useful if you plan to do it within 2 years of initial purchase or buy used.

Thank you Jay for taking the time to comment, that really means a lot. My wife is still rockin the 2Gb model of the EVGA GTX 770 and she's needing an upgrade. Everthing she's playing right now seems to max out her vram, so I'll be looking into the 1060 most likely. Thanks again Jay.

+Darksector88 4gb won't be enough if you want to max out everything like AA. I'd honestly recommend 6gb as the sweet spot, but 8gb is even better because it opens doors to upgrade to a 1440p monitor in the future.

All in all, it's really just preference: Okay guys just put iit this way: 1. Not an enthusiast level person? then the 1060 is quite the bang for your buck -Personally, im okay with the 1060, ATM im quite satisfied with my 1080p 22-inch monitor. In order for me to appreciate the 1070 and 1080, then a 4K monitor would be great, but most 4k monitors are way humongous for my size 2. On the otherhand if you are, then go for the 1070 or 1080 -Get your beastly 4k monitor and im sure you would be happy with this choice On a side note, Awesome vid Jayz! ^_^ I do have to agree with you on the "Nvdia knows who is doing SLI" and probably they saw that statistics, that people with mid builds tend to opt for a single card only. Soo, they probably did this to lower the price of the 1060

Price-point, they're quite cheaper though. I've burnt out to 3 computers already with their CPU and their GPUs Compared to intel+Nvdia Combo w/c has been doing well and often times, the motherboard fails first BUUUT still to make my dedicated gaming Rig (1st time making a dedicated gaming rig) haha Still, opting to Nvdia and Intel

Personally I think you did ok with the review given the circumstances. Really hope at some point you can get your hands on a 480 nonref card in the future (preferably the sapphire one, HI ED lol) and run the test again. Also with some of the rumors going that 480s can get up to 1500+ on aftermarket I would like to see your results from those trials too. Still think the winner is the RX480 for two main reasons 1. 2 More GB of VRAM, this can be a big thing to modders and some games can go over 6 GB VRAM in rare cases 2. Crossfire. You mentioned it yourself. Can afford one one day, acouple months down the road get another. Which I could see some people doing for 4K with high(ish) settings or 1440 @144hz Either way it is nice to see some competition at the level that really matters imo

if you think about it, Nvidia made a good call not to SLI the card because if they did, that would mean the card would actually out-perform the 1080 which becomes bad for business, the 1080 will loose even more sales. the other thing is that most PC gamers do 1080p gaming and for a card that hits above 60fps at 1080p max or high settings at $299 i think its a great deal. Also if you take a look at people who are switching from console gaming to pc gaming most of them start off with a small budget pc and this card will be a good start for them... so in ma own opinion, i think they made the right choice not including SLI on the card.

Speaking of SLI. I've always wanted to put my cards in SLI mode because (like you said) I have money to buy one now. I'll buy a second one when the prices drop and I can pick one up on the cheap. The problem is the prices never dropped far enough for me to justify the cost because my card was far enough out of date that I could just pick up the latest card and get far better performance. For example, I purchased the 660GTX a couple years ago. When I get the 1060 or the 1070 (I can't justify $500+ on a GPU, I'm having a hard time at $400+) It will be many years before I think to upgrade again. By that time, the 1060 will, maybe, be at $150 and it'd be just as logical to dump the 1060 and get the latest, greatest 1260 for $250 (or whatever). So, two 1060s *might* perform better than a single 1080. But then you're losing support in some games that don't support SLI and you're paying out a greater expense in heat and power draw. IMHO, the long run costs of two 1060s in SLI outweigh the single upfront cost of a 1080. For me, where I would be an enthusiast except I'm not wealthy, a single 1060 or 1070 will be fine.

I got my 1060 FE yesterday, I'm loving it! I'm fine with Nvidia not having SLI on it, they've given us some fantastically powered cards at affordable prices, so if they want to reserve SLI for their higher priced cards to make a little money, that's fine by me. They could have held this pascal technology behind high prices and budget gamers like myself would have to stay sitting out in the cold!

I'm really happy it doesn't have SLI support. RX 480: Slightly less powerful Slightly less expensive Crossfire support More DX12 and Vulkan gains Performance increase over time More power draw Higher temps Your money goes to AMD, which is struggling against both Intel and Nvidia and supports open software and hardware. GTX 1060: Slightly more powerful Slightly more expensive No SLI support Doesn't gain much from new APIs Will be gimped Less power draw Lower temps Your money goes to NGreedia, which is currently dominating the market and is using this fact to push closed source tech upon the consumers to suck as much money from them as possible

In my opinion it depends on the cost. If adding the SLI support would add like $5 to the price, they could add it. But if by removing it they saved like $25 or something, than it was a good move. I personally know only one person who has more than one card in his tower. The rest of us (and most of my friends are gamers) use one card, and once the time comes to upgrade, we just buy a new card instead of buying second same one. For example now, I am going to buy the 1060 instead of purchasing second R9 280X. So if not adding the SLI support helped to decrease the price, I'm happy about it.

Hey Jay, I was hoping you would make another video of rx-480 vs gtx 1060 after you get your card and update rx-480 driver. Also I was wonder about something. I intend to upgrade my pc and want to make a double/triple monitor system, but my budgets are tight. Also, I'm not a hard-core gamer, I intend to use my pc as workstation for coding, photoshop, video editing, etc. So, what do you think I should do? Should I buy multple rx-480 or single 1060. I don't think I'll have budget for 1080, and I also think multiple rx-480 with crossfire would be better than single 1080? I would like your opinion on that, if u have time.
