All the notices that I got was on the John Doe. It was never on my name. What are my options I want to go to trial for that. Is it smart? I lived there 30 yearsI Spent $80,000 on the house the landlord lost it to the bank. The bank sold it without telling me or any agreements with me.

What about Landlords who have tenants who are constantly damaging our investment property?? We keep repairing and just found out from the plumber that they are damaging our property and other issues such as making holes in our walls, damaging our water tank, etc. and we keep paying all the time. Is there a Nuisance eviction act in NY State? These ugly tenants on the second floor (2 brothers) want the lower level occupants to leave by doing these acts where we have a duplex. not fair!

If a provision in my lease says landlord needs to give 5 day notice to comply or quit, does that override a 10 day law? For holdover. Not for non payment. I feel like yes if they signed the lease with that wording in it

A lease typically can't override a state law. The lease should me adjusted to state law, but it's best to speak with a landlord-tenant lawyer as we cannot give legal advice!

Hi great content I have a question agreed to an eviction notice in 2023 . Unfortunately my girlfriend suffered a stroke can I extend the order of eviction till further notice while she can recover at home . My eviction Date is late may . Is it possible to extend my stay till my girlfriend is close to 100 percent. In the order we paid rent on time some ive been put in charge of paying bills .. so is it possible

I live in Batavia, New York.I am on section eight I lived here almost sixteen years in july twenty twenty four. Is my name is daniel cherry. I had a person attacked me at my house. And I protected myself and I still got a year in jail so it's on my record. I have an eviction on my record from my swarm. Lord cause all I did was ask to have something fixed. But he couldn't do that. So then he's terminating me. And if you're on section 8, you only get one month by month lease. After the first year, if my landlord's not gonna do a yearly least they can k*** m* a** cause they're gonna get a lot of money. I paid for this house.. Now I have one leg.I do not have an aid.My house doesn't exactly wonderfully clean but I take out my garbage and don't stink. I didn't break holes in the wall, but I'm gonna be screwed by my slum, Lord. Because I asked to have the porch fixed. Then they say they're selling the house. That's a good one, but they're not because they're liars. And then they say oh, you're getting terminated. Well maybe that's legal. I don't know, but I don't think so.. Terminated, evicted what's the difference?I don't see much except it's good for the landlord. If I withhold my rent, I will be shut off Hud if I don't move out bye. April 30th 2024.They will shut me off h.U.D.
