Zero Kaldheim cards being in this deck is a good thing It's proof WotC ramped down their broken card mentality, and once the old busted stuff rotates out, Standard will be at an overall lower power level. It's healthy for the game, just takes time to rid past mistakes.

I don't know....I wouldn't hold your breath. Rogues already had everything it needed so it makes sense that there weren't many new cards to slot it. Temur adventures has only revised because Lucky Clover and Escape to the Wilds were banned but was another example of a deck that just had everything it needed and very little room for experimentation. Kaldheim put Sultai Ultimatum and Monored over the top so it's not like it didn't affect the meta in big ways.

However no ultimatums, I was in diamond two yesterday with a homebrew monowhite, after win and lose to some ultimatums and rogues in the ladder I just decided to play a similar version of rogues heavy in counter, I just lost two times to a monowhite and a monored deck, and mostly by errors or bad choices. After two easy wins to ultimatums I just bought the dimir avatar and went to the dark side. Next month i think I will play rogues in ladder to get to mythic and play jank there.

I watched almost every minute of the Kaldheim Championship. I was rooting for Sultai or one of the Adventure Dragon builds, but I have to say, Arne played his Rogues deck better than any rogues player I have ever seen on ladder. His patience and intuition were flawless.

I think blocking the Enforcer while the shield is down works. As I understand it, the shield prevents the 1 damage deathtouch considers lethal damage. May not have mattered but still an interesting interaction.

I’m so sick of rogues. I play them half the time in ladder and it is impossible to win against them as a control player. It’s just such a frustrating deck to play against. It’s Agro with bill built into it with absurdly powerful card draw so they never un out of steam. I even try and play kroxa, because it seems like it would be good, but it still gets crushed by its absolute bullshit mechanics. You either. Have a deck be agro with no card draw or control with card draw. It’s like they decided what if we give agro crazy card draw.
