Broken men and women are out there looking for someone to "complete" them. It never works. Complete yourself first, a relationship is not there to fix your life, it's to share it with someone. First you need something to share.

That’s nice but there are tons of incomplete people in relationships right now. You don’t need to address all of your personal flaws before you’re “good enough” for a relationship, that’s ridiculous

I have done hundreds of temp gigs. I am overskilled unqualified for a corporate job. I can tell stories all day.

Easy money policys from the federal reserve have blown the biggest stock market bubble in history, the rich get richer with asset prices rising and regular people get priced out. All bubbles pop in time, they are never sustainable. There will be pain before it gets better, sadly. Keep up the good work ms.

I've been on the other side of this. I used to be married, and he always told me that other people kept asking him why he was with me, that he could do so much better, and that he wouldn't take me places because I embarrassed him. It'd make me wonder why he picked me to begin with lol. But it's not so bad to be ugly. People leave me alone mostly. I get a lot of reading done. Plus I never know how to respond when guys hit on me and if I were beautiful, I'd have to deal with that all the time. But this is all sort of non sequitur to the points you were making. You're allowed to have standards, and as unlikely as it is, I hope a wealthy but blind super model stumbles her way into your arms. 🌹

Thank you for sharing such a personal story. It's heartbreaking to hear how your ex-husband treated you-being made to feel like you're less than or an embarrassment is such a cruel thing to endure. It does make you wonder why someone would choose to be with a person only to tear them down. Relationships like that can leave lasting wounds, but your perspective shows a lot of resilience and self-awareness. I admire how you've found the silver lining, embracing the peace and solitude that comes with being left alone. The ability to find joy in your own company, to read and enjoy life at your own pace, is a rare and undervalued kind of freedom. The comment about being unsure how to handle being hit on is endearing and relatable-sometimes, beauty or desirability comes with challenges people don't think about. As for the non sequitur-it's not, really. It ties into how societal standards and expectations can warp our sense of self-worth and the dynamics in relationships. You're right, everyone is allowed to have standards, but it's also crucial that we treat others-and ourselves-with kindness and respect. And hey, if a wealthy, blind supermodel does stumble into my arms, I promise to give you the credit for willing it into existence!

@@MillennialSteam-h3s thanks for taking the time to write such a kind response ☺️ I didn't expect it. I'm deeply touched, and, you know, if she's reeeeeallly wealthy, cut me a check 😁💖

14 years of unemployment creates a man full of empathy. However he who gets the job after that long gets a desperation position.

MS : I have had girlfriends that made me go "Why is she with me?" and that is how I inevitably lost them. Because of dual Self Esteem. One was High in public, which is how I met them. And one was too low in private, which is how I lost them. I read too much into the looks I got from people. I'm like 5/10, used to be a 7/10. Girlfriends were like 9-10s. The kind that Jeff Bezos would dream of getting if he had no money. Man this was a really good upload. Here is some honesty : People talk about, and act upon things that affect them. What people need to talk about and work on things that don't directly affect them. Just the other day I Unsubbed from a KZbinr who goes on about justice, and questions the system, until the Amazon strike happened and suddenly this KZbinr is like (paraphrasing) "Why are they striking? I want my Christmas packages"

can you define a career oriented job? Some careers feel like a job over time once you do it for a while like being a help desk manager/it manager/nurse
