At my current job, when they asked me in the interview why I wanted to work there, I said “because it’s a ten minute walk from my home and it doesn’t get more convenient than that”. Got the job, but last week my line manager said in a meeting that she doesn’t think I even like the company and they don’t want people just to turn up, do the job and get paid. I looked at her very confused. I said “but it is just a job to me. I turn up, I work hard to complete the tasks I’m given, I take my pay check and go home, what’s the problem?” She said something about company culture. I retorted that I’m not going to be a cheerleader for a company that makes record profits while we all struggle and granny freezes to deth this winter. She wasn’t happy but couldn’t really respond. Because we both know it’s stupid what she’s complaining about. Is it literally not enough to turn up and do the job anymore? I have to join a cult too? F off! They’ve been doing everything possible to make me quit but I keep turning up. I’ll leave without notice when I’m ready, and until then I’ll do the bare minimum. If they sack me i will start an employment tribunal. I actually told them that 😂 hence why now they are trying to get me to quit instead. Thing is, even when I do quit, I’m still going to make a claim against them, my list of issues with them is so long now, and they know deep down I’m right.

Look at Artificial Intelligence's and Robotics' trajectory. The vast majority of human white collar jobs have, at most, five years left. Decent paying human blue collar jobs might be as much as 20. Still, that means that babies born today will go through the school system, only to graduate from high school with zero human jobs available. Think about that for a long second, then ask yourself if this economic system makes sense.

@smlorrin5 күн бұрын
@@fliporflop7119 No. If you get $17,000 per hour times 24 hours times 365 days, that gives you the amount that you get per year. That is 17,000 x 24 x 365 = $148,920,000 per year. Multiply that by 2025 years, and you get a little over $301.5 *BILLION.* *Elon Musk has more money than that.* The point of this exercise is to show how ridiculous the amount of money Elon Musk has when someone like MS can't make ends meet even though he's working full time.

Why would you be lazy if you are doing most of the job? Limited wages are just not sustainable you’re right. You shouldn’t be feeling guilty as well if you are not stepping up as much at work, you should be rewarded based on your merits, and the fact that you are simply coming towork that seems very truthful. It seems like they are forcing the issue of the fact of wanting to make you feel interested instead of just asking you being like oh are you interested in this? The focus should be on ensuring that everyone thrives, fostering cooperation rather than competition. Wage structures would be open and collectively agreed upon, reducing exploitation or unfair practices.
