Yu-Gi-Oh Chick SORRY FOR THE WALL OF TEXT I don't have anybody to talk to about this... (tl:dr-- the Spirit of the Ring is an 11 out of 10 on the craziness scale) (Yugi is probably a 5) I can honestly say that I don't ship it in the proper canon, but that's only because they don't leave room for any relationship in the show. At least, not on Ryou's side. Dude never even talks to the Spirit of the Ring, who will henceforth be known as Tom. Even if they did interact, the whole "being possessed by the embodiment of the Shadow Realm" thing would make any sort of... human relationship pretty much impossible. Even if Zorc was only slowly driving Tom insane simply by his presense in the Ring over the years and not directly influencing his decisions, Tom still spent roughly 3,000 years with nothing but his thoughts of revenge and a sizable slice of the Shadow Realm as company. Anybody would go insane from that, and he was already insane when he was just a teenager. What with the fifteen years of his family forcing him to obsess over avenging them. Man, I haven't even finished the Memory World arc yet, and it's already proved to be both the silliest arc and the most epic. Despite poor Ryou becoming best friends with the floor offscreen. That boy didn't even get to be in the opening, unlike the other arc where Tom was sort of a main character.
