The reason she didn’t have the burn scars and the split tongue was because she was purified. The demon had those scars and you can see it when the abomination shows up at the end she has the burn scars and the bloody mouth.

Mia is one of my favorite final girls. As a whole life long fan even shot a remake in highschool for our TV productions class. Spent a lot of time on props the necronomicon alone took 18 hours. and script writing. And I saw this when I was in the military in Texas in theatres. It's a phenomenal film in my mind especially the end credit scene with Bruce Campbell. Saying that this isn't a remake, it was a reboot, which gained enough interest over the years where s rami had to sorta fight for his rights over the franchise, back because fede wanted to steal em. And the next movie basically got turned into a three season show. But to give fede credit, he was the core reason why the franchise got resurrected in the first place. Because so many horror goers and critics loved it. And evil dead fans. But either way, it's a POS move to try and steal someone else's idea, brainchild, rise for yourself. That was not cool.

You're missing the way they are bringing the story to a similar place. It's not exactly the same, because it's like an alternate timeline/universe, but certain key aspects do align. There's no way her brother was going to be the 'Ash' of this film. He is made out to be of questionable character from the jump. Mia on the other hand has a substance abuse problem, but every step of the way is more intelligent, perceptive, and willing to take action than anyone else in the cast. The absurdly over-the-top ending is clearly a nod to the original films, and is a practically operatic moment to signify the birth of this new hero character.

If you like Bruce Campbell Ash vs the evil dead is a great 30 minute show 10 episode 3 seasons. Maybe you're seeing this movie in the wrong light the rules to the Sam Raimi evil dead are different. Like the difference between the Spider-Man movies similar but unique to their character.

Hi folks this is my personal favourite as I think it’s a fantastic remake from 2013. I have watched the new 2023 a few days ago and I was pretty disappointed overall and a little watered down with little in the way of any scary scenes. But I will let you folks also be the judge of that when you get to view the new movie.

I would suggest giving ash vs evil dead a watch it's a series 3 seasons total but it is a great continuation after the events of evil dead 3 army of darkness Bruce Campbell does reprise his role as ash in it

Imo... The story was great, the development was great, the acting was great, very realistic But I do agree with the ending, that's the only part of the movie I think could have been better done As far as remakes go, this is as good as it gets.. I haven't seen a better horror movie since the 90s tbh Usually horror films are just jump scares these days, this was so much more
