Bro that’s crazy how Friday the 13th hasn’t had a film since 2009 (15 years). Meanwhile Halloween, Texas, Evil Dead, and Hellraiser get more sequels. Oh yeah and Nightmare is pretty much done.

The Evil Dead is Ash's story, and it's been told. I'm good. Love it. Grew up with it. I'm old. Bruce, Sam & the Michigan crew are old. Bow out gracefully Using the franchise as a proving ground for young filmmakers is a cool, but going forward I'd prefer a clean break with Ash and the cabin. Let it be it's own thing: Deadites & Necronomicon wreaking havoc

Personally I am happy with the direction the Evil Dead franchise is going. Though its a shame that we are most likely never going to see Bruce Campbell as Ash again in live action, Evil Dead is one of those rare horror franchise, where I am genuinely intrigued with the lore of this series. Ash will always be the hero of the franchise but there are a lot of interesting concepts in this universe that aren't directly tied him that could be explored. like there being multiple versions of the Necronoimicon, the history of the Dark Ones, and showing us other demon type besides Deadites/Kandarian Demons. Though I do hope they leave the cabin and the woods behind in future movies, that was Ash's story and that setting should stay with that character. Instead I hope they go the Evil Dead Rise route and have the Necronoimicon show up in different settings or even different time periods. Also its kinda sad to hear that the animated Evil Dead series is going to be its own thing and isn't going to be a continuation of Ash vs Evil Dead. Ash fighting in a demon infested, post apocalyptic earth would have been so metal and its shame we aren't ever going to see that in live action or animation.

I think that the franchise can exist going forward without Ash because they've done it twice with the 2013 remake and Evil Dead Rise. The true star of the franchise are the Deadites and the wonderful cast and crew that bring them to life time after time. Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams is no doubt an all-time great horror protagonist, but he is the cherry on the top of the sundae and a sundae is still great without it. Evil Dead as a franchise has such deep, rich lore behind it and honestly has the most potential as an anthology than most legacy horror franchises out there.

Vanicek is pronounced as Vanicheck. Idk how to feel about the "Burn" title. Maybe it's just a work name and the final title will be changed. I'm hoping we will eventually get some kind of conclusion to the Ash vs Evil Dead series. Also, I don't mind ED stories without Ash, though it's always nice to see him return in one way shape or form.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea to have a policy to use Evil Dead as a starting ground for new film makers. Just because it worked initially doesn’t mean anyone else will be as talented.

Ash is the the central character of evil dead, and it’s likely Bruce Campbell is the only one that can bring that character to life. It’s hard for me to except evil dead without ash and the comedic end. I do think the remakes are good as demon movies, just not evil.

I was also very surprised by the 2013 remake when it came out, n ive been a huge fan since i was like 8 lol rise was good too but Ash vs. is fantastic n that kind of evil dead, with Ash through chainsaw hands n one liners will always be my favorite
