Evil Energy -6 Ptfe hose and fitting assembly. It's a terrible video, but maybe it will help someone

Here's a terrible assembly video I made of Evil Energy -6 Ptfe hose and fittings.
I used -6 Ptfe for my Trans cooler lines on my 1965 El Camino.
Hopefully this video helps some people.
Parts used.
Hayden Automotive 689 Universal 11.6” x 11” transmission cooler.
Evil Energy -6 Ptfe 10ft Fuel Line Fitting Kit.
Two 5/16" Fuel Hardline Tube to -6 male flare hose fitting.

I can’t get my braid to separate enough like yours. I spend 15-20 min picking at it with a bent screwdriver and it doesn’t come out like. Consequently it’s hard to get the ferrule in and not enough braid covers it, so it screws down really easily and doesn’t crimp well. Any advice?

I just used a screwdriver and just kinda pried the braid out enough to fit the ferrule in. It's hard to explain but went simple for me.

Is the ptfe line better for fuel then the cpe line? Plumbing a nova and not sure what to do.

You can run E85 with the Ptfe hose. I don't think you are supposed to with the Cpe hose. I plan to redo all my fuel lines with Ptfe eventually

I see a lot of mixed reviews because of QC. Have you had any issues or leaks?

No issues yet. So far so good.

This stuff is garbage. The braid is so stiff you can’t pull it away even with a screwdriver
