Love your Ibanez prestige guitar. I have one myself. I tune all my electric guitars to e-flat. Do you set-up all your guitars yourself or do you have a Luthier set them up? I have the Goldstar rated Master Luthier set all mine up. I’ve known him for like 30 some years he’s outstanding…

Just found your channel. I've seen tons of other guitar instructional videos out there in KZbin land but I have to say yours is by far the best I've seen to date! I am somewhat of a newbie player here and wanted to say I sincerely appreciate how you call out the strings, notes, fret numbers, and open strings as you go along. Being an old man, that makes it much easier for me to quickly follow along as you go through each step of your process. Also, being old school, I like to write things down as I go (yep, I pause a lot). Keep the awesome content coming!

Yay so happy you've done a lesson on this. I've been listening to alot of death metal of late and interested in learning more how to play it. Your lessons so far have helped me heaps in learning metal, have more of an appreciation of it and have fun playing it. Keep the lessons coming.

i love this. im always a big proponenet that down tuning isnt always necessary hows is still very valuable.

Thank you! I've typically remained in standard. It seems the lower you go, the more clarity you lose and I would rather the bass guitar carry the low end

Hi Jason, my name is Brian. I did not know about the trampoline Pickin about a week ago and come to find out that there’s some bands that does the trembling Pickin and when I was doing the band death zombie ritual I didn’t know they do the trampling Pickin, but I love your video.

😈😈🤘🤘😈😈 Need to work on my tremolo picking and this will be great to practice on as it includes moving around quite a bit and quickly which is also something I need to work on. I instantly still had fun using the same notes, but just playing less of them and then also playing around with power chords.
@jasonstallworth2 ай бұрын
Yeah man, the tremolo stuff is very rhythmic. One thing I recommend is not putting too much effort or pressure and be more relaxed so that your hand doesn't get tired as fast

Totally identify with the comment about learning your own stuff. Years ago, I had a tape fourtrack, and always had plenty of empty tapes. I'd just start recording and go stream of consciousness mode. Then when I'd listen to it (often times a mistake), I'd say "that sounded so cool! How did I do that?". It'd take me days to figure out how to play a mistake. LOL

😂 I remember those 4 track days! I also remember how excited I was in the mid-90s getting my first digital recorder (Fostex DMT8)

That's cool lesson Jason I could sure use this and practice it. I know this is old news Jason but I just wanted to know you're thoughts are on Sam Ash going out of business? I find it really sad there used to be a mars music in Orlando where I used to live where I bought my first electric guitar and amp and when Mars when out of business I felt sad but then when I heard and saw that Sam Ash was going to take over that location I was happy again but I never really bought anything expensive there like any new instruments I only went into a Sam Ash maybe once or twice to have my guitar strings replaced before I knew how to do it myself
@jasonstallworth3 ай бұрын
Dude, I remember Mars Music in Tampa (went to that store when I first moved here back in 2000). My go-to place is a local shop in Tampa, Replay Guitar Exchange. Awesome place, awesome people! I never really shopped much at the other places. And of course I do a bit of business with Sweetwater for my live sound needs.
