Timothy is no longer the anti-Christ, but still a half-demon. I reckon Kristen believes she can raise and teach him to be a good man. Nurture vs Nature.
@RiyazGuerra2 ай бұрын
Agreed. Kristin is a psychologist, a discipline rooted in the belief that environment, or nurture, is determinative with respect to behavior.

As I interpret it, "The Gray" was actually Ben, who hacked himself into the meeting to set up the trap for Leland. Hint: The hat, that the profile pic wears - referring to the hat that Ben used to wear lately.

I really thought the ending was great! Every series I watch has a terrible ending to it....this one at least gave you hope and still let you know that evil still lives! Lol! Of course, I don't think any of us wanted it to end...I know i didn't and especially not the actors! All of them were really upset....I know I will be starting from the beginning and watching all 4 seasons again!! One week at a time....lol! Maybe there can still be hope of a sister Andrea spinoff...I don't know....i will miss all of them terribly....thanks for the 4 seasons!!! ❤❤❤❤

It was okay, it felt kinda rushed though. I always had an issue with the "are the demons real?" And forgotten plot points of the show. I don't mind free to interpretation endings. But the show rarely answered questions. Would've been nice if the therapist wasn't the only one who saw the demons.

I can blame her for seeing the anti Christ in her baby and choosing to cover it up as the very last thing she does on the show. Kristen is evil. Always was.
@RiyazGuerra2 ай бұрын
I think this is a bit harsh. Yes she is flawed, all of us are. She is also under some extremely difficult circumstances let alone being tormented by demonic forces. Kristin's seeming dismissal of the demonic baby visage DOES NOT mean an endorsement of what the demonic represents, ie evil. It could be a form of denial that this baby she has grown to love can even have the capacity for evil or a reflexive act to disregard that which she cannot, at the moment, accept about the baby's capacity.

There seems to be a lot of projection into the ending of the series I fail to see so many things the way you guys are seeing it. The baby was baptized that doesn't end its DNA being half demonic, it's not the Antichrist anymore but it still has the DNA of a demon. Father David doesn't love Kristen more than he loves God, he was struggling between what he should do. The two choices and the shortcoming of the church members made it even harder to choose his vocation. The ending was surprisingly good, sad we didn't get more answers but we get to imagine their continuing work together into perpetuity, the proverbial, happy ever after.
@RiyazGuerra2 ай бұрын
I was relieved David didn't leave the priesthood to pursue a romantic relationship with Kristin, in essence he was choosing a higher purpose than fulfilling his own desires. That doesn't mean they cannot be friends and that David can't love Kristin, he does and likely always will. The ending had a lot of loose ends, but there was no way around that considering the abrupt cancellation. Here's hoping Netflix will pick up the series and the trio can return to NYC and resume the assessor program.

It doesn't matter if the baby's demonic. He can still grow up to be good if nurtured and inspired by a good mother.

This show was absolutely dumb. The CGI effects of the monsters was horrendus, couldn't tell if these religious people were actually seeing these things or if they were just delusional. That old lady nun was just annoying. I truly believe she was schizo. Kristen was too uppity and skeptic to the core. Her mother was trying too hard to be this stuck-up rocker grandmother type that was just too cool for her own good, Leland was your typical baddie that offered no real threat and getting away with too much all the time, the black dude was just trying too hard to be such a savior he was a joke at times and the Indian dude was just lucky to be there and failed as a comic relief. DUDE, YOU'RE NOT FUNNY. Just stop. UGH, everyone annoyed me pretty much. This was suppose to be like The X-Files but fails. No wonder CBS gave this up but how shocking it found new life on streaming. I lost interest by Season 3 and was not gonna continue on, but bothered even going through Season 4 since it was the last. I will say it gotten a little better here, but still not enough to save it. Just a weird show with dumb characters, goofy effects, and a plot that really went nowhere.
@NCause2 ай бұрын
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, however I'm skeptical your expectations when you thought this was going to be in the vein of X-Files. how could you watch the show for 3 seasons (and speed run the final) without bothering to learn the names of several of the main, David, shows the duality that most people face when dealing with their spirituality and societal pressures. Ben was not just "comic relief" he was showing the journey of an atheists delving in the field trying to make sense of it through science. Kristen being uppity lol. How strange a woman, who isn't the stereotypical damsel, who is smart, knows what to do and takes charges is poorly written to you? I guess when compared to the calm stoic nature of Agent Scully. However that's a silly take. Sister Andrea was incredibe and probably my favorite character. Although I partial agree that she may have been written to show ultra religious people as zany. I liked grandma but her motivations outside of protecting her family never made sense. I feel like they never explored her back story enough. The CGI wasn't great, however I'd chalk that up more to budgets and the time it would take to layer up the actor every single time. The biggest take away I got was most of the supernatural elements were left up to the viewer to distinguish. Aside from that the show was a good fun watch. And when you look at the work that the kings who wrote the show did prior. Then the somewhat whimsical tone makes sense.
@devontehuntley62742 ай бұрын
@@NCause I didn't like the show I forgot some of the character names. Overall, it was just a weird show that could have had more done with it. It was compared to The X-Files and definitely has a similar style, but it's cheaply done. I think it could have done without those ridiculous CGI monster effects and if the budget was an issue, then I wouldn't have bothered with that entirely. Kristen was just annoying and unlikeable. She whined too much and her up stance to being this supreme atheist wasn't cutting it for me. She needed to relax and finally open up to things when it was clear it was likely more to what met the eye. Ben was definitely comic relief because he looked clueless and was always trying to give these one-liners of comedic value, but it fails. Sister Andrea, just a joke and David...nothing more to say on him. He was just too calm and it was irritating me. Ugh, glad this show is finally put out of it's misery.
