If it was financed, then the insurance just pays off the loan. So the guy was just out his down payment

What people don’t know is these semi trucks have to have full coverage. There lies the first problem. It might not have been brand new however it was new to him. Insurance has to investigate which can take months if not YEARS before they start thinking about paying this man. Second problem and even worse is that if he just started making the payments on insurance or hasn’t paid enough into it , the insurance company will drag their feet even more all the while looking into you as the owner on why you would do this and not thieves. It’s not right however this is how they, the insurance companies work. They collect until it’s time to pay out and then either deny your claim outright, drag their feet to pay you or file for bankruptcy and close.
