The thing is all 4 Lords are kind of tragic victims in their own ways. All except maybe Alcina. In Donna's case it's someone who felt safe and superior using her halucigenics and tried to kill Ethan. But once he managed to stab her, reality kicks in and she realizes she is in actual danger instead. So all her previous terrorizing of Ethan is flipped and instead she is now in pain and dying, desperately trying to run from him/you. Wich is booth ironic, deserved but still sad. At least given that she didn't really seem to do to many crazy experiments on people we know off besides drugging them, or terrorize villagers to the degree the other 3 did. Nor partake in anything besides Dollmaking, feeling lonely and keeping to her mansion and plants. Wich makes her the least "evil" of the lords. And more a mentally untreated victim of Miranda's manipulation. But smarter then Monroe.

Another piece of disturbing lore about the Soldats comes from Heisenberg's 4 notes. In Note 1, it's specifically said that Heisenberg used corpses. But in Note 3, Heisenberg said maybe he should try using living bodies instead (rigor mortis makes it less capable of moving). After which, in Note 4, the results have greatly improved. So it's implied that the Soldats are actually still living humans that have been transformed into these cyborgs, deep down they're probably still aware and are unable to control themselves.

@@owentobias3270 I think she didn’t transform because she didn’t have a full Cadou. She split hers amongst her dolls, so she likely didn’t have enough power to transform. She was also extremely shy, and loved being in Miranda’s family- so I think it’s more likely she showed herself out of desperation. It’s hard to say with Donna. As far as her feelings for Ethan, just note all the things “Angie” did and said to him. Angie is Donna, and vice versa, so I doubt she had any love for Ethan.

I think one of the BIGGEST things thats not quite pointed out in this game is that almost NONE of these characters are evil or bad outright save for Miranda and Umbrella. The more you read all the technical data and notes on them you realize that they're all manipulated victims both physically and more importantly psychologically. Alcina was manipulated through her blood disease making her unable to have children, which was something she painfully yearned for and "gifted" by Miranda. Donna had severe mental development issues and disassociative tendencies forged from trauma and want for a family that was preyed upon and manipulated. Salvatore although of high house technically, is a very lowly and common clay man, a fisherman with some historical family previously being doctors of sorts, his horrific mutations only further the purposeful manipulations of being both undeserving and not enough but just barely cared for and acknowledged by Miranda to keep hope which only further drill him into a well of insecurity. Heisenbergs mistreatment is more direct and he is the only intelligent enough to be self aware of his situation having been pressed into mutations and acknowledging he is just and used for his creative capabilities. The best part about this is it puts the player in a mostly unknown situation where the majority of the game is spent killing men and women who had no reason to die. Not a signle one of them. They were all slowly and brutally twisted into corrupted things, psychologically deconstructed, and carefully manipulated into willing servitude. The more you read the notes and connect HOW everything is as opposed to why the game pulls a very unique look on what real power is. Miranda isnt bending the knee of everyone through brute force and her ungodly strength, shes using the real world accurate most powerful force there is - manipulation. Manipulation of religion for the common villagers and directly psychological cornerings and attacks to any person she deems a necessary actor to her plan. Its kind of weird playing the game again once you know youre just executing people who never deserved any of this to happen to them.

Good insightful comment. I'd say that Miranda herself was probably somewhat manipulated by the black god parasite thing that she discovered. Honestly, imagine her trauma of losing her daughter and then as she's on her way to commit suicide, the discovery of that parasite would most likely drive anyone crazy. She must've thought the universe chose her or something and therefore became a slave to her trauma. Everything she did to try and get her daughter back was a massive cope that she couldn't escape out of. Sure, what she did was evil and horrible, but she wouldn't have done any of that had she not discovered the parasite under an extreme sense of trauma and pain while she was about to commit suicide and thus had her mind infected essentially.

So once his goal would have been forfilled he could have gone either way. Down a spiral turning evil, or just stay neutral and free. @@johnnysothersack6829 Yea the whole issue is the way Heisenberg said it. The "using Rose" part was never ment to kill or injur her. Rose powers by just being near Miranda already made her mortal. Wich is how you beat the game in the first place. This is done intentional due to Heisenberg having been a child kidnapped and forcefully infected. So growing up with such trauma has made him callous and left with no role models to raise him his choice of words is very poor. As his intelligence and talent has left him very robotic and logical similar to star trek Borg. Wich made him (Suitable to his theme) very terrible with social skills. And given all the shit Ethan went through. including finding his daughter in pieces makes it understandable that under all the distress he did not respond kind to the sentence of "using his daughter". So the reaction as it was written absolutely made sense on booth ends, but could have been fixed just by Heisenberg having better social skills and better elaborate what he ment.

Good compilation of information. But I have a few small notes: -We know for sure that Lichen (plural) can infect people by biting them. The old man accompanied by his daughter in the village at the start of the game obviously became infected and set the house on fire. -We also know that Alcina Dimitrescu's mutation (boss fight) was an accident. In Miranda's lab, we find a book containing notes on all the lords' experiment outcomes. It states that Alcina's regenerative ability poses a risk of catastrophic mutation, which is the biggest reason why she is an unfit vessel for Eva. - We also know that the four lords are from different countries. Moreau=French, Dimitrescu=Romanian, Beneviento=Italian, Heisenberg=German/Austrian. Therefore we know that back in the day, these countries bordered each other when the village was founded. Some grammar thingies: - women (plural) instead of woman - sustenance instead of substenance - sustain instead of substain - Lichen (plural) instead of lichens

Here is something, its implied that Otto and Joseph were both victims of Dimitrescu, but unlike other male victims were experimented on and implanted with the cadou somewhere on their back which mutated them into hulking monsters, that we know as the Urias Drac...which explains why they summon Moroaica or Samca in the fight also the Varcolac Alfa is meant to be the first Varcolac made, hence its heavy battle damage with spears and its silvery hair but an interesting detail is how Moreau talks about the 2nd Varcolac in game, implying that was the first...or implying that Moreau's enlarged brain came with some minor memory problems, and so he'd constantly forget when he made a new varcolac also what was Heisenberg gonna do with all the Soldats after he defeated Miranda?

Soldats remind me of the Tyrant Model Bioweapons. They even have a glaring glowing heart-like weakness and one arm being a weapon. Things always come full circle when considering on who Miranda used to work with.

Haulers are the first version of soldats and were tested with the lycans but were not strong enough but after the drill and machine parts were add on their bodies they became more elite b.o.w.s they also reminded me of the mold creatures especially the double drill arm soldat and the armored soldat just like the fat mold and double blade mold creatures interesting.

Urias Drac reminds me of an old boss of the resident evil franchise. I don't remember the guy's name, but i know that he got stucked by an axe and pull it out after mutating into a green skin hunched monster. I guess the developpers used this boss as an inspiration for the Urias Drac.

Actually I believe the real tragic of the Lords of the Village is that no one really wanted to kill Ethan. Most of the time they where just like terrefied or just wanted to move on as it was before. Heisenberg on the other hand, wanted to be free. Maybe he knew that through the Cadou, Miranda could actually control them, making them go rampage using their emotions. Its because Heisenberg wanted to team up with Ethan, trying to help and get help in return. Its weird that he didn't really run after Ethan to stop him, as he just killed his army, turned of the whole factory. Of course, he was mad when he realised that Chris blew up the rest of is life time work. But most of the time he was maybe trying to fight over Mirandas control. Maybe that makes sense, maybe not. Thats just what I think. Dimitrescu was just getting really mad at the end of the chapter, so Ethan had to kill her. Maybe Miranda didn't really need to take over Dimitrescu because of that. Donna was actually just shy, speakong through Angie, who is definitetly NOT shy. Just as her second personality thing. Moreau was weird feom beginn with, but still he was shy at the beginning. Miranda could Actually use a little bit of control over him, just to make him go rampage, because she knew that Moreau wanted to impress her and the other three lords. 😅😊
