Hi, aussie here! figured I'd give some context for the drink being spilled on the boys in the car scene. Centrelink is the social security payment service the government runs, there's often quite a stigma around people on centrelink payments, there's also a culture in some urban expensive private schools of covering up actions and boys getting away with despicable acts, hence Amerie yelling what she did

It's hard to find someone who reacted to this show. I watched this show 3 times in a row. I like Chloe Haden's character a lot! Being autistic and having accurate representation, especially for autistic women is very refreshing.

Love you see you reacting to Heartbreak High, it's such a good show! About the cancellations, I think there are two other things in play here. One, Heartstopper is not from the US Netflix, it's Netflix UK, which granted doesn't have as many shows. Similarly, Young Royals is from Netflix Nordic and Heartbreak High is from Netflix Australia. It seems to me like the competition would be higher in the US, with more shows fighting for a spot. Two, all these shows are pretty cheap to make in comparison to others, as they don't require a lot of tech of special effects. That being said, it does feel suspicious that several shows with wlw couples are getting cancelled and Netflix still sucks for making us feel forced to binge watch their shows as soon as they are (and then they're still cancelled).

great reaction! I don't know if you know (you didn't mention it) but this show is a remake/reboot of de 90's series Heartbreak high. this was really big then... the woman Darren was talking to for a job was in season one of that series. Ivm curious to see more of this new show. you should check out the 90's version of this it has a lot of great characters... and a few really memorable ones...

The original series wa sooo good, I used to watch it after school every day. It wasnt lgbt tho but it really showed even more than this one the lives of poor kids and the hopelessness, the effort of teachers to help the kids and all kids of social problems. I loved it.
