Evil Ted, You are one of my favorite teachers.I learn so much from you.I am myself just starting out with EVA.Not as a cosplayer but just because i like to make something from nothing.I took your advice on the circle cutter and all i can say is DAMN! It's awesome.This vid totally sold me on all of the prop monkey fillers and primers.

I love the hell out of this video Ted! I don't know how many times I watched it. It inspires the piss out of me. I'm working on a life size, posable, mannequin of I.Robot's NS4 which I thought were more endearing than the NS5. I learned a lot from your videos! Thanks for all the hard work and love you put in. It helps my momentum like a fitness video.

thank, i used resin from smooth on, beatiful material, but i ended up with a bad headache, i ll try this because its not toxic, even if the fill effect id lighter

Can you show an example of how well it flexes on a scrap piece of foam?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
Super flexible. Get some and try it out.

Big fan of your channel. I have gotten your face shield plan but having some trouble figuring out the back of this helmet. Do you have a template for it?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
It's my basic foam helmet pattern I used. I trimed an inch off of the back of the face shield then glued to the basic helmet.
@TheJobieadobe5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! How does the fine finish hold up after flexing and bending the foam?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
It holds up pretty good, being a helmet it. Not a lot of flexing with a helmet.

@krishthapar99293 жыл бұрын
amazing! but how does rapid fill compare with kwik seal?

Hey Ted! This is awesome! What flex of creature cast did you use for this one?

I used semi rig Creature cast on this helmet.

When I first glanced at the thumbnail for this, the weathered orange with the shiny finish made it look like wood covered with some sort of lacquer. Have you ever tried to put a wood-grain pattern onto a piece? I'm wanting to do some experimenting now
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
I've done wood grain with paint as see here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqi9g2ushdN-nZo

Will Rapid fill & Fine Finish help cover "blemishes" and "bumps" in foam?
@MikeS-um1nm5 жыл бұрын
That came out BEAUTIFUL Ted, but where's the rest of the Robot suit? Don't go gettin' LAZY on us!!
@bdude935 жыл бұрын
Ted! How does the spray paint hold up to the flex of the foam and neoprene? Any cracking?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
Very little to no cracking. Even the 2X paint flexes because it made for plastics.

So this can hide seams easily and I can use it like bondo spot putty to get a very smooth finish?

Looks Amazing, Ted! A lot of stuff I usually see is way too over-weathered and makes it look even more fake than not weathering it, but you did a great touch, would you say that the materials you used greatly helped the texture for the weathering?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
Maybe a bit. It is a smooth surface. Thank you for subscribing.

Evil Ted, I live in Europe. Rapid fill and creature cast cannot be shipped to my country do to chemical regulations. I can only buy it in EU :( Do you know any stores that sell the American products in EU or if it is possible for you to tell my any substitutes available in Europe?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
You should check out Poly props flex filler. www.tyges.co.uk/flexi-filler-for-foam-cosplay-larp-costume-and-props-179-p.asp
@SpuneDagr5 жыл бұрын
Really cool! Wouldn't it make more sense to do your weathering last, though?
@EvilTedSmith5 жыл бұрын
Most of the time, but not with this technique. I use denatured alcohol to remove the dark brown acrylic from the 2X paint. If I did it last it would remove all the red and other detail colors.
