Nice engine, looks like it turned out good in the end… maybe running mid forties. I want one. 👍

Appreciate the sharp highrez looks at the motor. Helped me compare some wiring, as I'm a months deep, trying to get my motor to start. Add keywords to this video. Should have way more hits!

Folks DO NOT use Wiseco's. I've rebuilt 3 crossflows and one looper and ALL seized or got badly scored. I use the OEM pistons or the coated sea-pros now and not a single problem. I'm guessing these are forged, and swell up alot more than the stock cast ones. great for racing though. How is the motor doing with these?

Great job what slack are you using between pistons and cylinder? Wiseco is forged the clearance is different from the original? I'm refurbishing my engine I really like it 120, I'm wanting to use boyesen picks, did you get any positive results? Tks

Did you have low compression in that cylinder?

I have the same thing coming. Do you have any idea where to get workshop manual & dpare part list? Was the piston manufactured from order? Thanks for the help, neat build!

Hello, I got the part list from epc.brp.com/ , the piston was not build from order, it was an "standart" oversize piston +0.10. As an example, you can have a look at www.maxrules.com for rebuild kits, so did I. Good luck with your rebuild.

Lose the "music" the motor is what we want to hear. I never liked the bigger 120, the 99.7 (I think I'm close) classic evinrude 115 ran better IMO, the 120 didn't idle smooth at all compared to the 115, it had a bigger block for more torque but the 115 had enough for my little 17' closed bow cobia runabout. the Mercury tower of power outboard could put both of these away however. I've owned them both so I think I can comment on this. Bottom line is, if it starts and runs while taking you wherever you want to go is all that matters.
