Yes, you have to. Once you pick your type of document, it gives you appropriate steps to follow. Even those with a British passport can create an evisa.

You choose the initial option of international passport instead of brp, then you choose the option of gwf number instead of brp number. I hope that works.

Sorry for the challenges you are experiencing. Now you have two options 1) login to your account using the old details, then update the details to the new ones 2) Create a new UKVI account using the new details only, then link it. I hope that helps. If you have any more challenges, let me know.

As you said most brp are expiring on the 31st December 2024 but it’s not the actual date of ones stay in the uk. Should we still insert the 31st December 2024 when asked for expiration date.

Absolutely! This is for purposes of your brp details matching. It has no bearing on the duration of your permission.

Does this mean your permission to be in UK has expired as well? If so, then you need to renew your permission first. If you have already applied to renew, use your application number/ reference instead of the BRP number.

The eVisa works the same way as the BRP. Whatever you used it for you will use the eVisa for the same purpose.

I'm sorry to hear you have trouble doing this. Is it the part of just taking the picture or capturing the chip? If it's the picture, just make sure the lighting is good and there are no reflections, and all the letters are visible. If it's the chip capturing, make sure you don't move the phone once the chip is detected. I hope that helps.

You should ensure you use the same document you used when creating the account, and usually it's the BRP.

To be safe, please link your evisa before traveling. However, if you travel before the expiry of your sticker vignette, you may still be safe even if you haven't linked yet. Best wishes🙏

Yes you can, but not using the passport. Use the GWF, UAN number of your application, or whatever else your application reference is. It will work in the place of the BRP number.
