Mabusin was checkmated as soon as the 2E connected on block, he even tries to up back and still gets hit. standing up 7 frames after the super flash ends. Great use of Sakura assist.

This tournament was SOOO boring to watch holy shit. 3 character tournament. 90% of matchups were the same, it was like watching the same fight for an hour straight wtf

Yeah, that's usually the problem with tournament level matches. Tiers are formed, and only the ones up top usually end up getting picked.

It's not a problem with competition, it's a problem with the game. Plenty of other games have a wide variety of characters make it to top 8.

True. Still, even when games do a good job of balancing the characters, there always ends up being a handful that never get used in tournament-level play. I think it's a problem, or just an inconvenience, but game balance does affect how big of an inconvenience it is.
