I don't care where you stand in terms of face coverings and compliance this isn't a political post, but everyone did they're part with honor and respect. I didn't hear not one complaint. As someone who's unfamiliar with fighting games/EVO outside of Smash, I have two questions: 1. Why did everyone get hype and yall in unison when Cell yelled? (3:09) Is it merely a reference to the anime when Cell and Gohan faced off against each other, or is it something deeper? 2. Why did the crowd get hype when Panda was chosen on the character select screen? (7:12)
@bogmanosaka4722 жыл бұрын
Not sure about question 1 but i think its like a community thing, this was the 1st physical evo since pandemic and they are just hype to do it again. For no.2 Panda is a low tier character but the one play who is choosing it that time (Rangchu) was able to win major tournament using her, so rangchu choosing panda again hypes the crowd.
@rikittu2 жыл бұрын
Late reply but for the scream, the first evo dbfz was in, everyone screamed with cell, like how it was in the anime. You can watch the 2018 evo cell scream and it's probably the loudest scream in any evo. Cell was a top tier back then but now only one guy, shanks, who has been maining cell since back then, had made top 8 so it was a perfect opportunity to do the cell scream. It was the first evo after the pandemic so everyone was hype. And now about panda, the character is in no way even close to a top tier character. The guy who picked panda, rangchu, won the tekken world tour with such an unorthodox character. People were hyped seeing him pick up panda again on the big stage. There's an amazing video on his journey by the channel "theScoreEsports". Just look up "panda tekken 7 theScoreEsports" on youtube.

@@LoadingScreen9 Panda is considered one of the worst, if not the worst, character in the game. Basically a joke character. Rangchu, being an absolute madman, decided he was going to play Tekken 7 at the highest possible level using Panda and he actually won Tekken World Tour 2018 with Panda, surprising everyone. Since then, he became famous for being THE Panda player and the only person crazy enough to pick a bear in EVO top 8. When he hovers over Panda, the crowd goes wild, and then he takes his time to troll the audience by fooling around in the character select screen before confirming his pick.
