Great video! It’s also worth noting that a Hobbs switch is not necessary if you drill out the Venturi from the siphon. Had an issue with not being able to get my base pressure below 52psi and this fixed it when I eliminated my Hobb setup.

I feel running 2x continuously is less desirable then running a Hobbs switch or some sort of secondary trigger. On a dedicated race/drag car I completely understand.

@@bdalchemist True but you are adding an extra point of failure to vital system. If the relay fails or you lose a vacuum line, it’s rebuild time. As an engineer it just bothers me 😆

@@evilgti2000 ask ur self this, which relay has more chance of failure, one that run continuously or one that runs some times? And vacuum? If ur vacuum comes off , ur car will let u know it has a major leak. Speak from experience and have done it both ways , Hobbs for none aftermarket ecu and or dedicated race car is my recommendation. You obviously can do it anyway u like which ur comfortable with.

@@evilgti2000 I would also like to add, no fuel system or any system is perfect. Your system (all of them) will fail at one point given enough run time. The 2 pump continues has the same # of components as the Hobb system (when done correctly) , only thing ur changing is the trigger. U can switch out the Hobb trigger for a gas paddle or even map/maf voltage trigger (like done in other platforms). End of the day it's gotta be based on needs and durability. From experience hobbs is more reliable. Your experience might be different.

@@bdalchemist Actually I’m an electrical engineer and I have an answer for that, a relay that is constantly pulsed. The contacts get “soot” on them and you get inconsistent or no conductance the more often a relay is electrified. But I understand your point.

Quick question, You said your Fuel lab filter was a 40 micron, is it better to run a 40 micron filter? as in my evo x on flex fuel with about 500whp i run a 10 micron, or a 6 micron filter. Is it better to run a 40micron for higher flow?. Thanks mate 👍🏻

Thanks so much for posting this. I have a Hobbs switch on my setup, but am converting to standalone and wondering if I would be better off triggering with the ECU? The standalone will incorporate fuel pressure in its fuel model, so I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

Another great video bro, Im looking at 300kw for the street, what do you recommend with gearboxes. Currently have a 6 speed. I was advised to rebuild the 6 with stronger internals rather than 5 speed

Everyone in the US agrees the 5 speed is much stronger , by far.

Hey man.. thank you for your very informative videos.. I have an evo 9 mr.. is currently stock.. I want to get around 600whp out of it.. and been stocking up parts for the build.. just a few things I'm not sure about.. I have dual walbro 255 and want to modify the hanger myself just like I've see in your videos.. also want to do the an fittings my question to you is how do I connect the an lines to the stock lines.. or should I go with all new an lines from the pumps to the rail.. this is a list of parts I got so far for this build 6266 precision turbo 3" ets intercooler Stm fuel rail Gsc's s2 cams Radium fuel pressure regulator 2150 fic injectors Dual walbro 255 Don't know if I should get a aftermarket ecu or if my stock ecu would be ok for what I'm trying to do.. thank you in advance hope to here from you soon.

I have a hardwired single Walbro 460 will this be sufficient to reach 600hp or should I go a Walbro 525?

Should be good enough, but injectors are a big factor as well

i run a Squash Performance double pumper after having 2x Bulletproof pieces of crap leak on me thru plug that was never ever designed for fuel! steer clear of it! seen plenty of the Buschur oem diy twin kits leak too!

A single Walbro 450 can handle all that , so can aem 320
