Probably the best explanation on how to do uchimata. I have watched so many videos of famous judokas teaching uchimata but none of them gave a perfect breakdown like this one. I have learnt much more watching this one video than everything I have watched in the past combined.

sambo has own sylabus as martial art. Sambo have more simple and practical way to make Most of Judo trows so better learn Judo trows from Sambo coaches to decide which way to make it better for you personally. Today Judo took many setups and trows from Sambo at tournaments , especially armbars and setups to make armbar because signature sign of sambo is a chain = trow and continued action after it (armbat or pin). Watch Sambo Channel - Ivan Vasylchuk -best for learning sambo setups for Judo and other stuff

What if the opponent let go the underhook when I whizzered him ? Should I counter him or reset ?
@counterkidnapping17372 жыл бұрын
@@EvoBJJ and I want to ask something. Did you whizzer with your forehand or bicep ? It's hard to whizzer with your bicep. And when your opponent underhooks you from front it's very hard to whizzer it with your forehand, i can only pin the underhook with my armpit.

For no gi harai ogoshi instead of wrapping the arm for uchi mata just place your non pulling hand on the upper part of the back shoulder blade like in judos nage no kata. I pull this off alot during no gi. Good luck

Please show how you would apply obi-tori-geashi with no gi. What could you use as the back control without a belt? Could you use the opposite hip? Or a kimura grip? Or leave the low grip and use a underhook on the far arm for a Sumi-Geashi? I've been wracking my brains trying to show my MMA guys a usable no gi Georgian control and take down. Can Vlad help me?

I have a good question. I am 240 lbs, but I'm only 5ft 11.5 and sometimes I go up against guys who are like 6ft 4 and weigh 300 lbs or more. I think it's height thing, because I have no trouble throwing people my height who are 300 lbs. So what sort of trip or takedown or throw would you recommend against a Large and Tall Opponent???

@sambofusion94868 жыл бұрын
What I personally use against heavy weights are : drop shoulder throw , kneeling fireman's carry. Maki Komi seems to be a good choice for a heavy vs heavy as well
@jmania218 жыл бұрын
Drop seoi nage or osoto gari is another good one. Being a tall guy who's had both of these executed on me, I can confirm that they can be devastating if you don't see them coming. Both have the potential for knockout especially osoto gari.

at the beginning of the week in class, we were working on standing kimura sweeps. when i attempt it during a live roll, i get singled and taken down and then stuck trapped in my one-handed kimura grip. im wondering if an uchi mata would be a viable way to counter a single off of a failed kimura sweep.
@sambofusion94865 жыл бұрын
Cheyenne Meredith it is possible to finish uchi mata with the kimura grip but not ideal. The said grip provides an excellent finish with the harai goshi though
