I think that would kind of be a good thing since for one, Nintendo and Microsoft are allies and for two, people really want more Banjo-Kazooie games on Nintendo consoles and even I want that to happen as well since their Switch debut is Smash Ultimate which might open up to more future games for Banjo and Kazooie sometime.

My guess is that they got permission from Nintendo’s lawyers as DKR was the first appearance of Banjo. They couldn’t say his first appearance was Banjo-Kazooie as that would’ve been incorrect. Still is really weird, though that’s the conclusion I come to.

Alxinho959 As true as that is, Rare gave the rights to anything Donkey Kong related to Nintendo just before they were bought out by Microsoft. Rare may have made it, but Nintendo owns the copyrights to it.
