The thing with nuts and bolts was that it was never supposed to have banjo star in it. I’m sure rare was told to make it like this from Microsoft. These references in nuts and bolts are Rares way of saying “this is not what Banjo Kazooie is” because The original banjo series is better than this and rare wants people to realize it by putting more substance in references of Rares older games than they put substance in nuts and bolts

The Game Boy sounds are from the Donkey Kong Land games, though the music while emulating the DKL samples is the menu theme. While Prototype Berri was changed for Conker's Bad Fur Day, she did appear in Conker's Pocket Tales for the Game Boy Color.

It was in fact Rare’s last game until Rare Replay in 2015, now the development team have shifted onto Playtonic Games to make multi-platformed spiritual successors.
