"We learned this scale when we were young children." Not all of us are gifted prodigies Jon. I think I learned my first blues scale when I was like 16.

Maybe you could answer this for me since you played Fur Elise? Is the Beethoven 32 Variations in C minor an Eight bar Blues? I appreciate the Batiste Blues Scale. I accidentally found it myself one day just trying to add all the chromatic notes to the Minor Pentatonic. By the way, the Jerry Lee Lewis "Last Man Standing" piano book has some legit piano transcriptions along with the vocals. Not a bad place to start. Cheers, Jack
