When youre a member of a group you obviously share the limelight with the members but it can overshadow your true nature as an artist. Im glad we got to see the solo works of the BTS members and especially Jungkook cos now the ENTIRE WORLD knows how all-round talented JK is. Vocals, Rap, Dance and Stage Prescence. No other idol/artist in korea comes close to JKs all round ability. So proud of him and his growth. His Times Square and Jimmy fallon performances trended worldwide for a reason....

I get your point, but I also want to point out that BTS members had the freedom to work on their solo music in the way that they wanted even when they were in BTS. Because of the experience they gained through their solo songs in BTS albums, they are now confident to experiment more artistically in their solo albums.

He never stop learning. perfecting his skill, even until now. he really take his job as singer so serious. that's why he deserves all the success he got now as soloist because it's long process, nothing is instant. He harvest of his hardwork and he will be even better and successful in the future because of his work ethic and his talents

I love seeing his growth as a vocalist! JK had a solid starting point but a lot of his skill is just a testament to hard work. I love how his voice has changed and how he's always adding new stylistic techniques. People like to talk about his "perfect pitch" (which he explained as "I know notes but I don't know note names," Jungkook style) and clearly he has a good ear, but that's just one piece of the story. I really love his seamless transitions and grounded mixed voice and it was neat to revisit the time when he didn't have that yet. 😁

I love how JK grows more and more confident throughout his career. I adore him in BTS's music, but I also love seeing him experiment with different types of sounds in his solo work. That's how you grow and find your own style. I'm so proud of him 🥰

Highly agree with Waleska re: about amazing live performances are in award shows that people take them for granted. Like sure, there is a standard, but many should keep in mind that talent isn't just what is needed to pull off brilliant performances in that kind of environment. Most groups who want to show something that has never been done before or are determined to bring a spectacle to the audience and push their limits would plan and practice so many months ahead, and there are only oh so little number of groups that leave a lasting impact that influence these future award shows, how these artists prepare for performances, and even how broadcast stations should treat artists in general.

Yes! And viewers/fans tend to overlook the efforts of the entire team - designers and stage crew and stylists and support staff. We see the artists, but they're the tip of an iceberg that creates the performance. One of the ways I fell for BTS was seeing clips of how they treat the rest of the team. JK's 90-degree bows to stagehands won my heart 😁
