The best ones to me are 7, 8, 10, and 13. They all sound like really bizarre choices for their respective games (Surf Rock, 50s Rock, Big Band Swing, and Salsa respectively) but that's what makes them so good. Orchestral/acoustic music is a bit overdone in fantasy games, so to hear something fresh and out of place is nice.

The big band version of the music just says fun filled travel. VIII is probably my second fav, then XIII-2 and I like the strings and horns of XV as well. The others are all good, but samey.

I knew FF from my brother who played 8. I wanted to try it, but start from the beginning to really see what FF is from every view and I immediately fell in love with FF1. When I played 2 and found the Chocobo Forrest below that castle I got so excited! I LOVE chocobo! I'm about to finish 3 and move on to 4!
