Which of these games made you upgrade or made you suffer? For me, it was Doom 3 on my 9600 Pro back in the day. 800x600, medium/low, ~25FPS beginning to end and I didn't mind.

I have yet to upgrade, but I will upgrade for Dishonored 2. The original Dishonored was awesome, and they say that the sequel is as great

its kinda crazy how massive the leap in lighting quality in these past 3 years has been just no ways to optimize them without breaking them for them to run on current hardware but i say give it 5 years and then it'll be some new crazy tech thats making games unplayable lol

It’s crazy how doom 3 graphics were a huge leap. I would have added AOE3 and Half life 2. I remember how difficult those games were to run on any good PC

2004 was a tough year to call. Half Life 2 like you mentioned, Doom 3, the original Far Cry, Riddick: Butcher Bay and RTS games always bring systems to their knees when you crank up the units on screen.

Dang bro I was freaking 11 playing battlefield 3 i was a little squeaker I remember it like it was yesterday 😅I hope one day battlefield goes back to that or even remasters the game
