We visited the parks in January, my husband's first trip since 1989. One of the big things he wanted to do was meet Donald, and we got the opportunity at Tusker House. When I mentioned that my husband had been waiting to meet him for 30+ years, Donald tapped his watch and stamped his foot. I laughed so hard. Best costume character, full stop 😂

You're right, Disney Dan. Donald Duck is a lot of fun. In fact, the very first time I met Donald Duck during the Christmas season, he saw my Goofy t-shirt and grabbed and pulled it out of anger. That was the sign that my Disney trip was not going to be ordinary at all. It was going to be amazing, which it was. I caught my whole first interaction with the duck on video.

Seeing Herbie twice in this video makes me feel like we need a Herbie Disney Parks Evolution. I feel Herbie would be interesting since even in the same park, and in the same year they had two Herbie designs wandering around at the same time.

I’ve never had a disappointing interaction with Donald. Always 10/10. I’m not sure what’s funnier: his narcissism when you’re wearing Donald merch or his anger when you’re wearing Mickey merch.

I made a video of my very first encounter with Donald Duck. He got mad at my Goofy shirt as if it were a Mickey shirt and grabbed, twisted, and pulled it in a hilarious temper tantrum. Donald Duck made sure that my vacation trip there was more memorable and greater than any other previous theme park I went to.

One of my favorite Disney memories of all times was when I was with my grandparents at a character dining restaurant (I'm 99.9% sure it was Hollywood and vine) and Donald pointed to my grandfather's Korean War vet hat and clapped, thanking him for his service. I just thought it was so sweet and the fact Donald duck canonically is a vet too made it even cooler

As a kid the character costumes always fascinated me and it’s very hard to find information on them. It’s really because of the magic that Disney doesn’t give out much info I get it. I’ve gotten information only from people who have worked as Characters till your videos. Thanks DisneyDan.

At 10:06 that’s what Donald looked like the first time I went to Disneyland in 1991. I was 4 years old and I didn’t enjoyed it at all I was terrified of the costumed characters. Although I didn’t meet Donald to me those huge pupils are straight up uncanny valley territory and would defiantly have terrified me

Regarding the ending, it's more or so you focus more on an air pocket in your left cheek, I don't know about laying your tongue on the roof of your mouth, it basically happens on it's own when doing the voice. I can do the impression and say some sentences.

Donald is my favorite character! I never did like the "Toontown" Donald...he just never quite looked like himself. The current version is the absolute refinement of all of the previous though. I've had several great interactions with Donald in the parks over the years, from playing hide-and-seek on Main Street, to learning to tell him "You're my favorite" in Japanese while at Tokyo Disneyland. His reaction to that was very funny and memorable for me.

I'm in the same boat when it comes to doing a Donald voice - I can kind of pull it off, but my grandfather's Donald impression was LEGENDARY, and he didn't even have to do anything special like the tongue thing or the air pocket in the cheeks some people have mentioned in the comments. He was able to do tons of cool little things like that.

We were in animal kingdom and my kids (3 and 5 at the time) walked up to Donald , huge smile and autograph books out he slapped them out of their hands and brought them in for a huge hug and it was hysterical! We got a really good pics with him. Then daisy stole my husband and walked down to show him off to Uncle Scrooge lol
