there are 3 very important games in history: 1. Pole Position, because it was the first to give a proper F1 feel even if it was the 80s 2. F1 Grand Prix 2 from micropose from 1995, which was a simulator, had all the cars and circuits very detailed 3. Bizarre Creations F1 97 was the first proper F1 game on console, which had a simulation feel to it... the best of them all without any doubt is Grand Prix 2, it was just a masterpiece for its time, it was written in assembly language for higher efficiency, if you don't know what assembly is... is basically a very low level language that takes a heck of long time to write on it, compared to other more modern languages, with the advantage of being the faster and lighter for the hardware, meaning even on primitive hardware from late 2000, the Grand Prix will run smoothly unlike the footage its show in here... where framerate is bad, i can ensure you... because i re-installed it on DOSbox recently that it runs very very well on any computer.

Four-time Formula One Drivers' Champion Alain Prost would be rightly miffed to discover that Cussan has dropped the "r" from his name.

I bet the 2020 f1 steering wheels have more data and tech in them than all the f1 games up to 2005 combined. Maybe even up to 2013 with the release of the next gen consoles

Got my F1 start with Grand Prix 2 around 1998 which would run pretty well on my blindingly fast Pentium 200 MHz mmx with an upgrade Voodoo Banshee PCI graphics card.

@@jaxyouwill Enduro on the Atari 2600 had tight roads and proper curves, so they could have made a better job, seeing the game runs on considerably better hardware.

That's cool. In 1995, me and a couple of friends started to play Grand Prix 2. I can remember, that we are all were impressed by the "excellent" graphics and the detailed physics of the Cars in this Game. We played this game so many nights from the evening to the break of dawn. And in the middle of the night, when the beer was empty, it was very dificult to hold the car on track... 🤣🤣 And now, 25 years later, i'm playing the F1-2017 simulation since a few days - just to see, if the feeling is the same. It is. So i will buy the F1-2020 Simulation now - and for the next few months my nights will be saved - and, also, my boyfriend can sleep in peace🤣🤣🤣

I remember playing a game called Power F1 back in the 90's... So many days and nights wasted in my life racing in front of my monitor.. Later played GP4 (2002), but then I already realized, that it's enough to play 1-3 races a week, not all the season at once :DDD
