Indisputable, correct tier list for the Warrior of Light's hotness over time by expansion. Although everybody has different tastes. Tell me why mine is cringe and wrong, then give me the correct rankings in the comments :)

EW WoL is hot in a traumatized way. He’s disheveled because he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, he’s weary and at the end of his tether, but forging ahead as is his duty. He wears the mantle of the hero, the armor of a paladin, but he’s so broken up inside that he can’t show it in any way but with a grim determination to protect those that her cares about. He faces the apocalypse unflinching, ready to defend all of creation and give his everything to saving the world. And that is, in fact, hot.

i find cute how he wears the same cloak he has since HW on EW and DT makes me think that it has a lot of sentimental value. has been through thick and thin, tattered and seen better days. Beloved so much that he's willing to just mend it every time it's torn.

its a bit unfair for the End Walker version. there is a reason between the contrast of an angry and bitter Paladin. he feel like he need to save the world. he want to save the world, yet he feel betrayed, by Hydalin, by the very people he is trying to save. but he must press on, because he is the warrior of light. at that point, he feel like his responsibility is more of a burden and a curse, more than ever before, that is why is is so angry and bitter even as a Paladin. this pay off in the subsequence trailer of Dawn Trail when he no longer feel the weight of responsibility and is now final free of burden. he returned to his old self, an adventure, while carry the experience he learn though out the year.

"feel" betrayed by Hydalin. she simply did not telling them the whole truth, about literally everything. asking them to go on quest that have no end in sight, for reason unknown. anyone will feel betrayed. furthermore, after Shadow Bringer, they learn so much more from people they consider enemies than Hydalin herself.

@@LostWallet I didn't feel that when doing the msq though so probably it's different for each person. never doubt Hydalyn myself because I know my character is not controlled by hydalyn the way other primals control their followers. i still have my free will. If she really try to deceive you it would be easier just controll you herself but she didn't do it. Emet exposed her to be primal so what ? Zodiark is primal too and they still worship him so yeah more of a pot call the kettle black for me. I didn't fall for his talk but seem like yoy did

This is the most important tier list video for FFXIV. Personally, every Meteor from SB and beyond is top tier for me but my personal favorite is ShB Meteor, amplified by how WoL-centric ShB's story was.

Samurai Meteor for me is a B tier, or A tier at best. What keeps him from going higher may be the choice of hair. The cool factor and slightly grizzled look is why he deserves higher than a D. Shadowbringers had me mildly parched, Endwalker had me heating up and now I'm very thirsty for Dawntrail dilflander.

Now THIS is quality content and besides EW wol i agree. And stormblood having sharing a tier with SHB and D tier really shows how good it was in patch content and how horrible the release of it was. And yes DT wol is that sexy dante like adventure with no burdens or care in the world. I hope we get hair like that in game if not already

Y'know, the events of ARR through Endwalker take something like one year in total to complete. But the WoL seems to be aging in the cinematics. Honestly, I think more time should be allowed to pass to get a feel for how the world changes and grows over time, but I guess they don't want to age up the twins...

Only things I'll fight on is that the samurai at least deserve to be love the scruffiness love the attitude that's going on, whereas the monk can probably be more in the A though. He's kind of got man w**** vibes which just turns it off for me. When it comes to the paladin I get where you're coming from so I will politely disagree. But I do love the sort of badass here to do business look. The paladin has that the end of the world is coming and he's not going to waver from it however, he doesn't have the entire aura and sort of show off the darkness that the Dark Knight gives off. I do kind of see a very grand hero vibe coming off him though I do get them. The more somber expression doesn't really work with the paladin aesthetic per se

I did have DRK as S tier at first too, but that was just cause of how he man handles a big sword with one hand and not the aesthetics of the character
