Not really. I mean its a really good game but way to short. You get the same amount of quality for ff7 rebirth but it is 10x times longer. And it has an amazing story with amazing characters and voice acting. Astro bot getting goty is just a weird choice.

I've been around on this Earth for every one of these GOTY and played just about every one of these games, especially when it comes to the earlier ones of the 80's 90's, and early 2000's. Then I took a break, went off and had a family and then came back to gaming heavy again in the 2010's.... Damn, I'm gettin' old...lol!

Currently, he continues to play the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy franchise and would play some multiplayer if it was with me and my sisters

cailieisidoro - oddly enough the first system I played on which was an Atari 5200 wasn't mine. I was very young at the time. Only about 4 or 5yrs old when I got into playing it. The original Mario Bros., Centipede, Pole Position, Donkey Kong etc... But the Atari was actually my adopted mother's. She was born in 1918 and loved it ... I used to sit and play with her, and that is literally how I got into gaming. So I guess age doesn't really matter much. Your father played when you were young with you, and my mother with me. She was 64 when that system launched by the way...lol! I used to have a lot of fun with her, may she R.I.P.

A lot of these wins are well deserved but I disagree with some choices: Dragon Age 3(an incomplete game on release), Last of Us 2(a bait & switch terrible story that butchered Joel & Ellie), Baldurs Gate 3(makes the same exact mistakes as Bioware with DA3 & ME3. Buggy releases with an incomplete ending. Certain RPG choices don’t matter. Reviewers didn’t even finish the game), and for 2018(in my opinion, it should’ve gone to Red Dead 2). Also congrats to Astro Bot! I might play it at some point. My favorites on this list are KOTOR, Red Dead 1, Halo & Skyrim.

I have a 95% chance that it would win in the next GOTY because last year, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth won the anticipated game like GTA 6, but had to struggle with other competitors in the same year. Plus, who knows if there’s the toxic fans that might complain about the early game bugs. Realistically, it’s going to be a nominee for sure but who knows if there might be other 2025 games that would also be considered worthy

Astro Bot gets in at the 10 spot this year. I see why it won though. It is a very good game. BG3 definitely deserved its win because it sweeped the competition with only FF16 and Lies of P even able to face it. Elden Ring easily won imo It Takes Two is fine with me. TLOU2 sucks Sekiro easy sweep Red Dead 2 got backstabbed. God of War is amazing though so deserved. BotW I get but not even close to best that year with banger horror games and peak Hollow Knight Overwatch beating DS3 is sickening Bloodborne clears The Witcher 3 imo, but TW3 deserves goty over it I admit 2014 had Alien:Isolation, but the year was definitely dry. The games before 2014 I am completely fine with. If I picked something else then it is because I haven’t experienced the game, take GTA SA and 4 for example.

BG3, Elden Ring, and Sekiro are the only three since before 2014 I agree with. Other than that: RE4, Chrono Trigger, and Bioshock are definitely best of their years.

@ Bloodborne easily is better imo. I have Undertale over it and Fallout 4 over or equal to it. You can flame me all you want, but TW3 I played 30 hours of and got bored having to check out the rest on KZbin. It’s a great game don’t get me wrong, but that is because of its world not main story or gameplay. The game is a 91/100. If I played it now, I would enjoy it more, but this is the rating I think the game deserves for me. Bloodborne is my 2nd favorite game because it’s my type of game. I even have Rocket league at a 98 and siege at a 95, so TW3 is the 6th best game of 2015. Bloodborne is a 100 ,Undertale is a 95, and Fallout 4 is a 92

Dishonored deserved 2012 Walking Dead is not even a videogame, shame on whoever decided to award this dialogue simulator over one of the best immersive sim games of all time.
