I just LOVE the detail of plumbob falling off, from ghost sims. It feels like when sim dies, there's no more control after his death anymore, and the plumbob is also a symbol of The Sims series itself! Maybe it also represents the end of the series, but I'm just diving too much

The plumbob is also different for each occult and changes to a rainbow colour if you completed the sim's Unfinished Business as a ghost, so there's many different plumbobs that can be left behind!

In sims 4, with the Eco Lifestyle stuff pack. Your sims can make the "Beetlejuice" drink at a bar if they have harvested at least three beetle nuggets. This drink turns them into a permanent ghost but doesn't come with any abilities or unique look.

@MrHand-pv2sf Yeah... well the music was great, and they just can have hung around aimlessly most of the time instead of acting like a normal Sim. The Sims 3's 'ghostbusting' was WAY scarier. But with Life and Death I'm not sure, they even added costumes that make them partially skeletal and added in both a weird ghost lady and an homage to the Ring. And still not really scary. I think it would be better if they weren't always visible or able to communicate with average Sims. I had a Happy Haunts mod before Life and Death that made ghosts invisible to everyone except babies, toddlers, animals, and supernatural creatures and that alone made it way scarier bc things would just start floating without explanation and you couldn't talk with them. I do want to see them more with Life and Death bc they do have some really cool effects and abilities but it was scarier to have them be invisible. Maybe if they started to become invisible/unable to communicate in anything but the language of the dead if their needs weren't met or their connection wasn't strengthened

I think 4 wins just bc of all the stuff in Life and Death. 3 the ghost music was a banger and there were a lot of cool effects. 2 gets moved down bc of the child glitch but it was the scariest. 1 has the least interactive elements though I do kind of prefer when most mortals can't talk with ghosts. I had a mod for 4 where they were actually invisible and uninteractible for anyone but toddlers, infants, pets, and supernatural beings and it made them so much spookier.

The Sims 1 ghosts scaring me as a kid will always be remembered. I’ve never seen the death reenactments in The Sims 2 because I didn’t have the heart to get my sims killed. The Sims 3 ghosts are so cool. Even the ghosts being surprised by each other’s ghostly presence is absolutely hilarious. 😅😅😅😅😅 Can’t wait to get Life and Death for The Sims 4. Looks pretty cool. Even without it, I can get used to playing as ghosts. It’s so nice to finally be able to play as them without moving another family into the house and going through all that hassle to make the ghosts playable. 😁

The irony of this video. My sims was about to take her finals for her degree and which I remember if a sim looks through the telescope there’s usually a prompt about an asteroid or meteor. I completely forgot till I see a telescope next to the science school. Well got a prompt that said something about “the sky being dark” I was like okay? Next thing you know meteor fell and killed 5 sims 2 of them being in my dorm. I have never seen this happen I was so just shook 😂

Actually in sims 2 they do react when the ghost are around, for examples they will wake up from sleep on the bed just from the ghost roaming around them when sleeping, they will also spooks when they do nothing and then see an item being possess.

As much as I love Sims 4 for how it looks, it is rather shallow. AT LEAST with Sims 3 the ghosts had some unique quirks, and in Sims 2 they were probably the most detailed. Sims 4 is good for building and cas, but it comes up short with everything in gameplay

for child sim ghost in sims 2 they are moved to the default households where other ghosts and npc are located children aparently cant stay at night on another lot bc of that someone from the default household has to come and pick them up but they never will be picked up bc they are bonded to that lot there is a mod fix for that issue

A kid's ghost in Sims 2 is buggy because they're not supposed to die in that game. Anytime a kid is close to dying, they'll be taken away by the social worker. The game still has the files for them to be ghosts, but are kinda incomplete, making them this buggy and accessing other data (like random NPCs) that they shouldn't have access to. All in all, is best to avoid having a kid ghost in the neighborhood. If you have one, send their grave into an empty lot you're sure you'll never visit, and leave it there.

In my opinion... The Sims 1 ghost is spookier, especially with that introduction music. The Sims 2 ghost is annoying, this game is already chaotic, how could this get any worse? Enter the ghost child. The Sims 3 great design and music, but since most of the sims are nonchalant around them, it does make them less spookier and mysterious than they should be. They got ghosted by the living, I guess. The Sims 4, as someone who didn't play The Sims 4, this definitely added a lot of role play elements with the ghost. Still, the decision to make ghost changes their colors depending on their emotional state make them look like a chameleon, then they just added an option to choose permanent colors without a trade of (permanent emotional states for example) are just pointless.
