Minus One does a great variation on the original roar. It's awesome how iconic the Legendary roar is becoming and it's honestly my favourite one, mainly because while there's a lot of volume and power to it, it's also quite sharp and crisp, so you really get to appreciate the mix of it. It's almost like a monsterverse motif (like the animal version of a catchphrase XD)

The original roar of Godzilla was achieved by rubbing a rough resin-coated glove on the strings of a contrabass. I imagine that they recreated that for the 2014 movie and added in some more instruments played in a similar way. They seem to be using the same set of sounds for every legendary Godzilla roar

I always loved all of his roars, especially the Showa era, but once I heard his roar in Minus One,.... holy peed my pants was that the best and most scariest roar I've ever heard from the big G. You feel the horror and pain in the roar and the sadness of the events taking place. Plus, I love that it was his original roar amplified to MAX volume when it was recorded lol. Toho and the makers of Minus One seriously created a masterpiece of film. Brilliant movie.
