6:51 Is basically the only official material we have of Gordon showing any kind of inkling of his personality (that I can think of at the moment, most of them are him just staring expressionless or sometimes having some combat angry/grimace going on). I know I'm reading way too much into what in the end is just a small loop sided smile but it does makes me wonder what kind of a character Gordon would be like if he wasn't just the "blank slate". I imagine him as this serious and driven character who has that certain calmness and kindness to him? The kind that shows emotions in a very muted (pun not intended) way and not in the stick-up-his-ass way? Also not mute, just a "man of few words"; he rather listens than talks and often responds non-verbally. I can just see Gordon and Barney having beers before everything hit the fan and Barney being the one talking and Gordon just listening and smiling. After everything went down I can see Gordon becoming more withdrawn and having a tunnel vision on his goals, he's needed and he has to get the job done. Everyone is depending on him like he's the messiah/world savior even though he's just a man. I have no doubts he might have a pretty bad case of PTSD for everything he has gone through as well, probably disconnecting him from his emotions in a way to keep him from falling apart entirely. He could very well have a "if he ever stops to think about everything he might just lose it, better to keep going then"-kind of mentality. I like to psychoanalyze fictional characters, sue me lol

Well HL1 has a multiplayer and freemans model is referenced to create the other ones, as well as the animations in HL2 there's no mp and you not even meant to see freeman in any way except using cheats or mods, so theres no need to waste resources and time for nothing
