Characters in the park who appear in games will respond if you are wearing kingdom hearts merch. From past experience Peter Pan said “sora! I know him!” Goofy took a while and counts to 3 on his fingers and mickey points at himself then acts like he’s fighting to which the cameraman replies “wow calm down there keyblade master.”

The day when sora got announced for smash bros a few weeks ago, I was at Disneyland. All they did was put up some kingdom hearts pins at the pin traders spots and the world of Disney store. That was a great opportunity for sora to come back out from the closet but I guess Nintendo didn’t realize that. Oh well.

there actually is an official sora signature from the parks I saw very recently, & in my opinion, it’s a whole lot fancier and less dorky than you’d expect, coming from him. the first thing I thought of when I saw it was the design/style of text of the graffiti in TWEWY or something of the sort. there’s quite a few elements to it, but that makes it super cool!

I was lucky enough to see the Sora Character at the Halloween event. I am a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts and 10-11 year old me nearly cried seeing my hero and snapping a photo with him . I hope they bring out Donald, Goofy and Mickey to many more event since the game will be releasing next year

I was at the 2004 Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Event that had Sora, Donald and Goofy. In fact the pictures shown of him, the Risingsun.Net ones specifically, were taken on the night I went with a Kingdom Hearts cosplay group with that photographer. The person who played Sora was a lot of fun. He didn't have a very long line of people to see him but he was a blast. The picture of the Aerith and Yuffie were part of our group and man he was just amazing. He brought so much life to the costume. I really hope they bring them back for the launch of KH3.

Unfortunately, he’s still a Square Enix character, so he can’t be in Universal since Nintendo land is specifically for Nintendo IPs. Smash is kind of a special gray area because Nintendo has to get permission from companies for characters to appear in their games. Honestly if Disney starts acknowledging Kingdom Hearts, they could maybe add Traverse Town into one of their parks.

Warriorseamonkey16 If you have PS4, just buy the 1.5+2.5 pack. It contains 4 games and 2 cutscene movies. Games are KH1 Final Mix (basically Final Mixes are the original games with some new content, weapons etc.), KH Re:Chain of Memories, KH2 Final Mix and KH Birth by Sleep Final Mix Cutscene movies are KH 358/2 Days and KH ReCoded As for PS3 you get 1.5 and 2.5 Mixes individually, they were both combined on 1 disc for the PS4 release

Great video! I've always been pretty fascinated about the Sora costume myself, so I hope you can find more information on him. Also, there was a Square Enix Shareholders Meeting just a few weeks ago and apparently they're interested in collaborating with the parks for more Kingdom Hearts presence. I'm guessing the most that would probably happen is KH3 promotion around launch time, but that definitely gives some hope to seeing a limited meet-and-greet in the future!

Disney should have a special event dedicated to KH. An area of the park would be entirely KH themed. The Ratatouille restaurant where you can make your own food. Organization 13 segments similar to the Star Wars floor show. Sea salt ice cream shops. Visits from multiple disney characters. We wouldn't see Sora, but kids can and dress up like Keyblade weilders and be Soras themselves. You can alter the Haunted Mansion and put Heartless in instead of ghosts lol. It could work!

7:20 Mickey's whole keyblade has the colors flipped from Sora's, not just the gold charm. It's called the Kingdom Key D, it's featured in almost every game Mickey shows up (all but birth by sleep if i'm not mistaken) This was your necessary KH nitpicking moment, and I immediately apologize for it :3 Awesome video though, I love that you tracked down all of these!
