THIS! NAILED IT! They have cool costumes in DW6 to 9 but I've always felt Koei abandoned the Chinese aesthetic in favour of western fantasy armour. DW3 to 5 are the classical Chinese look, always.

DW1 & 2 are very simple. DW3 to 5 all look similar but better than the first ones, DW6 looks cool but that weapon... DW7 and onward also look alike but the black armor sure make him fearsome especially in DW8
