You don't know how much I hated that Luigi was just green Mario, in the first smash and melee. He didn't even have his own voice until brawl! Luigi had had his own established, different voice since Mario Kart 64! WHY did they give him mario's voice until brawl!?! And I have to say, even though Luigi has his own identity, thanks to the Luigi mansion series, I love his "negative zone" smash move more. I know it hasn't been around for a while. Though, it makes Luigi more interesting, and mysterious. I like the idea of Luigi being a kind hearted character who's goofy and quirky, but possess a bit of a dark side and hides certain parts of himself away. Only for his inner darkness to come out in his smash move. Could have incorporated the poultergust in more of his other moves instead, imo.

Luigi progressed from a orgasm faced fire throwing goofy mario, to a more confident fighter: he no longer closes his eyes alot, he has a more stiff posture instead of a stiff hunchback, he finally has more fury looking face, and not to mention his side special went from shiting squat to an epic ready for a 10 meter sprint contest.
