Shoujo on the other side is also quite popular but not as popular as its opposite counterpart as it's target audience are young women. Anime as a whole is more male dominated in terms of it's fanbase, and I can tell you that if men wanted to watch cute, pretty sexy girls they'd go for the harem or ecchi genre. Of course, there are normal fluffy romance genre out there that people watch, but let's be real. If you ask anime fans specifically guys, they'd know more harem, ecchi than romance or shoujo. This isn't a hidden fact. Even in shounen, there are scenes where a character act all perverted and it's used in a comedic approach. Now if you switch the genders to girls turning into boys, it wouldn't be as popular, as again, men would rather see cute sexy anime girls than some guy.

One more not included here is Birdy the Mighty. Female alien superhero accidentally badly injures a human male and, in order to save him merges with him. And then you have male normally but can swap to the female hero form. And another example was the Sailor Starlights from the last season of Sailor Moon. They were aliens who were male out of costume but transformed to female in costume. It never got an anime, but a fairly prominent gender-swapping manga in the 90's was Futabakun Change. High school boy discovers he switches gender when excited.

Birdy the Mighty is such a unique case with its body-sharing dynamic-it’s definitely worth mentioning! As for the Sailor Starlights, gender-shifting isn’t really the central theme of their story. For viewers specifically interested in gender-bender anime, they might feel the Starlights don’t quite fit into that category. And Futaba-kun Change-such an iconic gender-swapping manga from the ’90s! It’s a shame it never got an anime adaptation. Including manga in this video would’ve been a bit complicated, but it’s still an important part of the genre’s history. Thanks again for sharing these! Tanya was an asshole atheist who in the moment before death meet an entity claiming to be god. He told it that only the desperate believe in god. The entity calling itself god then decided to put that hypothesis to the test by royally screwing him over with reincarnation into a really shitty situation to see if he could be made desperate enough to believe.
