I remember the time that I had with my best friend, Sonic The Hedgehog, when we first met, when we fought the evil Dr. Eggman, or as what Sonic calls him, Egghead, when we first met our rival-turned-friend, Knuckles (I don't know what he is doing now), competing in the Olympics together, everything you guys can think of, me and Sonic did it! The problem with modern Tails is either he’s incredibly boring so he gets reduced to racing or just pure flying levels. The only time on 3D games where he had a reliable and somewhat cool attack was DX with the tail whip and we never see it anymore. Fans deserve to play him. Could you imagine playing modern and classic tails in Generations? Still a great game but a major disservice for not including playable tails

He kind of is to be honest if you look at what he used to do through out the series. He felt more like Knight Wing in the games then a Sidekick to me atleast. It really seems like Tails used to partner with Sonic out of kindness but also appearances of him being solo like in Shadow’s game. Also you can make Tails lead in Sonic Advance 3.
