I got a rearend out of a Mach 1 (same brakes 11.65") Got aftermarket lower control arms, 3.73 gears. Wheel hop is gone, definately rides a little rougher and more bouncy. Overall I figured $1000 for FTBR bushings and a LOT of lablr then an alignment, or SRA w control arms, gears that I wanted for about $750 total. I think it saves some weight in the end, too. I like it.

There are two reason why I want a cobra, 1: 4v engine 2: irs I will never get the people who take a nice cobra and put their grinder on the frame to put on a straight axle and sometimes even a new engine or heavly modded, take a fucking GT instead

im planning to irs swap my gt. i hear you can get the parts for as cheap as 600. and i love the 4v engine 4.6. i prefer modern ford dohc over obsolete chevy pushrod anyday. i think the fact that the new 5.0 makes the same hp as the 6.2 ls3 in the camaro is kinda sad.

Easier to swap and build a SRA vs the IRS (cost vs performance = expensive halfshafts, etc). Always liked this build, very nicely done.

although the stock wheels look nice, CCW'S are more of an exotic look and are very expensive. I think he took the IRS off for weight reduction and better straight line performance. a lot of cobra owners do this.

Alex Brick Live axle can handle more power. You run high horsepower and low quarter mile times through IRS is impressive but you run into quite a few tech issues; broken half shafts, stuff like that. Plus weight reduction
