Thank you so much everyone! I'm going to keep it in the purple one for now. It just doesn't feel like it's time to change it just yet.

This is exactly what I went through in trying to organize my grimoire. In the end, I found trying to wrestle with one GIANT 3 ring binder for all my stuff to be too cumbersome. Then I thought about how I actually conduct my work and decided to break my grimoires up into several smaller binders: one for protection/cleansing work, one for money/abundance work, one for health, one for love, etc... This way I go straight to the binder that's associated with the spellwork I have to do and I don't have to be flipping through a 10lb book! lol. I find it's made my life a lot easier that way. 🙂

I enjoyed the video. ❤ I love the evolution. I have the same situation, thanks for sharing your books with us. My carpeltunnel doesn't let me lift heavy stuff, so I have a few grimoires at home. The idea of placing a big book on table recheable sounds pretty neat. Blessings.

I have arthritis in the same part of my thumbs. I can’t even grasp things, pens, rakes, forks etc. when it flares up. It’s also a big reason I don’t ride my motorcycle anymore. That and the fact I broke my hand and it never completely healed, because of the arthritis. I just started my 2nd BOS.

I keep mine in a lot of a5 notebooks and an a5 binder. I bought a paperblanks notebook years ago, started writing in pencil in it and then stopped. (I was at uni at the time and that took up all of my time.) Then just over a year ago, I wanted to start making a book of shadows after seeing videos of people's books that were handmade and looked at gathering the materials for one (I have made a few junk journals), but I decided that buying a book like that or making it was too expensive and I didn't want to try to hand bind a book and mess it up because it would have wasted money, so I went back to that book. Paperblanks are great books, but I soon filled it and bought a few cheap notebooks which I'm filling now. I wanted a book that I could add stuff to without having to worry about the order of it and could change and add things as I came across it, which is why I got a binder, too. The drawback to this is that there are a lot of volumes to it, and the notebooks don't match, but I'm too much into it now to change that. The large book is a nice idea in principle, but not always practical or realistic. I hand write things because it makes it more personal that way, but I understand about having arthritis and how it makes things difficult - my problem areas are my back. my knees and my right elbow.

❤ Thank you , you made me feel better...I myself have half used attempted crested notebooks, folder full of notes on little courses and study I have done. Attempted tarot notebooks, runes etc , even a basket full of unorganised stuff. I have seen all these beautiful grimoires and book of shadows but am not arty..can hardly draw etc I have notes on Microsoft notebook also ,been looking at Notion to try get organised but now have Tennis elbow so computer time is out. Lol still finding my groove so to speak so thanks for showing me I will get there eventually

I LOVED this video! In a way, I relate to your book's evolution. It's constantly growing and getting new content added; sometimes I worry for when my current book gets full. I'm excited for when it gets big though ahaha! I also laughed when you said the beauty you created, inspired by Practical Magic's Grimoire wasn't "practical." That was a good punny inside joke. And I actually have been thinking of creating one myself because of the way it looks; but watching this video, as you said, it won't be practicle.

I am in love with that purple cover. I'd put it in the big book and set it on the table. All you'd have to do is flip through it when needed. My BOS walk through is on my channel. It's small and completely handwritten. Thanks for sharing! I hope the pain in your hands subside soon.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to go through BOS’s like this ha My first book is in a mini binder and it has all the information I learned My 2nd book is in a 3” binder and I’m slowly added to this one and this one is my “advanced” learnings Then I have my yearly books, in bullet journals where I’ll write my experiences, dreams, synchronicity and just journal and everything And then I have my spell book which has spells that I’ve used tried and work and want to keep This is the one that I use during ritual And then I have separate journals for each deity I want to work and learn about And a separate ancestor journal as well 😅

I broke mine into 2 books. My practical working book has the things I do, what I need for ritual. The second book is more of a reference book with all of the info and "how to" that I don't actually need in ritual.

I love this peek into your grimoires over the years! I think I’d leave it in one until you completely run out of space. I have to admit, as impractical as it may be, the dream one is my favorite though. I’ve been meaning to make a grimoire myself, but I’ve been too much of a perfectionist to ever commit to any one idea. This video inspires me to finally try to get started on my own!

I think if it were me I’d break it up into practical-sized pieces and try to make or modify I current cover to be able to hold them all. I feel like that could be the best of both worlds where on the table it could be one unit, but you could take smaller chunks out to use it. Sounds like a bit of a craft project though!

I would definitely divide it up. I would put rituals and spells in one book, so it can be held or laid out when I was doing rituals or spells and then I would put all the reference material in another book...things like notes on crystals, herbs, tarot, numerology, astrology, and all personal magical journaling. You already have two binders, so you can try it out and if you don't like it, you can change it again. I have all my stuff gathered in a big binder as well. Like you I love being able to love pages around, but have arthritis in my hands so the binder is too heavy to be practical. My plan is, I am going to move it all into individual small binders (that all match) by subject. So I will probably end up with 10 or so small binders, maybe 1 inch ones. I will put them on a shelf together, labeled with the subjects on the spine and find some awesome book ends to use with them so they feel like a set. I think it will suit my way of working and even my asetetic if I cover them all in a suitable material. I will wait to do the covers until I know for sure I like it. Enjoyed the video!

I dont keep books like that anymore, I’ve just outgrown them. I keep a few basic witchcraft books and just work with that. I keep my witchcraft and craft simple and to the point. Ive been doing this for 28 years and I feel too much becomes mental and spiritual clutter. I work with simple herbs from my kitchen and garden, candle tarot rune herb and crystal magicks. I know my deities and keep my invocations short and simple. Your craft should not over power you and too much is overpowering and can block your growth. My advise is find simple systems for yourself and keep with that and you will find peace and growth with that. Blessed be …

I would do what is most comfortable for you, I have diabetes and arthritis through out my body, failing kidneys and just had hip replacement surgery a couple month's ago,I'm dying from the inside out,as well as losing my sight,I have to use a scooter because I can no longer walk distance,I live on diladid because the pain is too much to bear, I'm 61 and have a 22 yr old son, he's my baby, my daughter is 43 and my other son is 26, so you see I can relate in many ways and why I suggest doing what is most comfortable to you. I myself have 4 leather bos, one the size of a coffee table bible with a lock and has all the info from trees, herbs, crystals, spells, you name it has it, plus pages to write in, very heavy, then they go down in size but all beautiful, I use quill pens and symbolic ink, dragons blood, doves blood, bats blood and one more that escapes me at the moment since its 4am,,,anyway your body will tell you whats best for you to do, listen to it and your intuition, can't go wrong there. Brightest of blessings to you Blessed be 🦋💖
