It’s actually quite sad to see the decline in crash physics. The crashes from nascar 1999 edition was very entertaining as a kid in the early 2000s I would say after thunder 04 they got really horrible compared to the earlier games

The nascar ones from the PS2 era (taking into account from Chase For The Cup 2005 to 09) were logical and very realistic!! Even more so when comparing the 08 and 09 with their PS3 counterpart where when they collide, the cars seem to bounce...

My first nascar games were 2011, Inside Line, 14, and 15. I’ve never found myself playing the newer games mainly because of my childhood. I just wish the news games had those physics and stuff like that made it fun for me to play

Inside Line and NASCAR 14 had pretty good crash physics. All the Heat games had garbage crash physics though.

That’s true 👍👍 Heat Physics are all Bouncy and Weird whereas the The Game series had cool Physics with the only thing is the Cars couldn’t blow over (except NTG2011)

@davidkatze2921 Yeah, they were classics, I think the Newer ones kind of Copied the Physics, Especially Evolution, the Crashes are Very Similar to Heat 2002, just with PS2 Graphics on an Xbox One/PS4, Unfortunately the Physics never Improved 👍

I used to play Dirt To Daytona. Part of the reason I liked that game was for the damage physics. And with Nascar '07 if you tore your front/rear bumpers up bad enough, sometimes you'd leave debris on the track after a while and you'd cause a yellow

I’m honestly super excited for the new game coming out in 2025! Monster Games and iRacing made World Of Outlaws: Dirt Racing, and that game is a banger! Hopefully it’ll be the same for their upcoming NASCAR game as well!

NTG2011 is a Personally a Bit Over-hated. Apart from the Odd Bug, I don’t Fully see why, It’s a Fun Game to Play. I Guess the Weird Physics Makes it Fun in its Own Way 😅 I’m Glad Your First Game was this, And Yes it is Good to this Day! (Of Course! NASCAR’25 Will No Doubt be Awesome - I doubt it will be Ignition Level, but if it was to be, Then NASCAR Gaming is Doomed 😅)

Here is to hoping that we get another good NASCAR game next year with iRacing developing it. They already have one of the strongest foundations for it and are putting a lot of their reputation on the line to make it in my opinion. I’m not asking for it to be ground breaking but at least close to the late 2000s level of EA games.

I think for the Eutechnyx Games (Such as NASCAR 15), I think It’s Only if you have a Fire that you DNF from Damage. You Can Also DNF from Running Out of Fuel but That’s about it Sadly

Hi 👋 For any of these Games, you do not need to have a Steering Wheel, Controllers are Completely Allowed for the Console Games. The Games I recommend in General are the NASCAR Thunder Games or NR2003, as they remain the Best to this Day, if not then, for a a lot of Fun, the Eutechnyx Games (NASCAR The Game Series /2011-2015) 👍👍
