My favorite will ALWAYS be Blue's from firered/leafgreen because it gives you the feeling that he's gone a tad bit insane and power hungry, and it sounds like the perfect reflection and escalation of his rivalry with Red. Red is up there with Blue, I love characters with legend status, especially when they are old protagonists. And Leon has made it to a very close second. I love that guy. He's one of the first Champions who actually sees it as his duty to protect his country and tell the 10 year old kid to not worry and let the adults handle it instead of trusting the kid with tasks that are way too dangerous. He also really gives me Sittkah vibes from Brother Bear. He's strong and confident, but also very kind. The older brother type.

That twist champion really has helped gen 1 stand the test of time. It wasn't the only reason though as gen 1 still has the best designs of them all. No Pokémon game has so much variety and so many consistently great designs. Gen 1 still holds up just fine next to all the others. I'm not saying every other pokemon sucks but none can match gen 1 in the quantity and quality of great designs.

Leon is my new favorite champ along with Steven Stone and Cynthia. The friendship you develop along the way, him always cheering you on to complete the Gym Challenge so you eventually face him, and the fact that he put his life on the line to protect you from Eternatus' onslaught really gave me such a rush when I faced him. Leon's battle just feels so personal.

Her A.I. was kinda bad when I fought against her. She could just easily sweep my whole team (what she almost did with her other pokemon) with Garchomp. I had a Mamoswine and two Ice Shards would be enough to kill her Garchomp, so I took Ice Shard and then, she just could easily kill me with Earthquake, but she took Dragon Rush and missed it lol

Leon's actually a fairly strong Champion. His Haxorus knows Iron Tail, his Dragapult has mad coverage, as does the starter he picks up. Aegislash is a decent Pokemon, Mr. Rime is pretty good (but lol Seismitoad/Rhyperior) and his Charizard is broken AF.

I did a similar comment like this on another Champion video. Regardless all these champions hold a special place in my heart. Blue - Having being shocked and awe finding out your rival just beat the Elite Four before you. I remember that sinking feeling the first time I saw him and the sweet victory I felt when I won, which wasn't easy at the time. Lance - Thought-out your journey you keep seeing and hearing the brilliant strength of this Dragon Tamer. His name strikes fear and his Dragonites were no jokes neither. Steven - This man is the definition of his team. Strong, tough, and daring. With his Steel type Pokemon, Steven pushed you to the limit and questioned your strategy as a trainer. Wallace - Previous gym trainer turned Champion. Wallace did what many trainers in the Hoenn wished they could've done. He showed you the beauty and the soul of Hoenn. Cynthia - There is not a lot I can say about Cynthia that people don't already know. Cynthia demonstrates perfect balance and harmony with her Pokemon. She will test your worthiness. She hope you can deliver. Alder - Alder made a point to be there during your Pokemon journey. His expertise with the Uvona region is shown during his battle against you. Clearly you can tell he is honor fighting such a wonderful trainer. Iris - Iris is the future for the Uvona region with her adamant youth and desire to get better. Using different method and techniques than Alder shows this behavior. Battling is her life. Diantha - She is the prime example of the Kalos region qualities of beauty, elegance and fame. And she radiates these qualities in her battle against the trainer. She's appreciative of the trainer hard work and want to witness their power. Kukui - What a legendary and surprising moment for the Alola region. Their first Pokemon League with the man whose started your journey, the Professor. While Oak might have been the first Professor you could've battled. Kukui takes that honor with this exciting challenge. Hau - With a different timeline and scenarios, you get to battle against the child of Alola. It has been a while since we had a proper rival battle and Hau delivers. Hau with his radiating smile, he knows the thrills for the battle and he's glad he did it with a friend along the way. Trace - People give Trace a lot of slack for essentially replacing Blue as the rival. But with Trace, he brings something different to the game. He has a big heart. With him caring about Pokemon, taking care of the Cubone and overall the nicest rival to date. Trace will fight with his heart content. Leon - You seen this man from the beginning of your journey. He gave you your first Pokemon, you seen him deal with the public, politics, and Pokemon. You constantly hear how great of a trainer he is. And he shows you 100% why he is the Champion. Leon is a superb Champion and if you plan it right, he'll make you regret it.

I can tell they were struggling against Hau in Ultra because he and Hau were down to one Pokémon each near the end. I beat the crap out of every one of Hau’s Pokémon and didn’t lose a single one of my Pokémon. The only ones I used were Zoroark, Dawn Wings Necrozma and Decidueye. But still, mad props to you for making this!

Wow! This is absolutely awesome. I just got back into games. I bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL and am starting with the VCs. I just beat Gen 1 and Gen 2. I'm jumping straight to X/Y because the cart came with the console. This was the first time I saw the graphics and gameplay of the new (older than Gen 1 and 2) versions. It's impressive! I look forward to catching up in the timeline.

His team is great and his charizard really went for me when i thought i had already won (max rockfall), if you aren't overleveled because you spent to much time in the wild area like me and my friends he could actually be one of the strongest champions we've had.

As someone who was at the level curve the entire game and then you get to leon WHO THE GAME DELIBERATELY SPIKES SO HE IS NEARLY 10 LEVELS OVER WHERE YOU WERE 1 BATTLE AGO...yes Leon was hell to beat. I have NEVER struggled with a champion that much or that long, I was playing on Set and using the same healing item restrictions as him, and I must have lost like 6-8 times. The last time I struggled with a champion like this was Cynthia back when I was a kid who had no idea how to play, coming back as an adult I swept her and pretty much all the champions. Leon is the only champion in pokemon history to challenge me as an adult and I love it, people talk about how easy SwSh is but honestly I think it has some of the hardest challenges in the series. Leon as a champion is nuts, Leon as a master rank battle tower brain is somehow even nastier despite having less pokemon, Hop went from a joke to unleashing hell with his legendary in post-game (serious his zacian is horrifying), and 5 star raids are beyond pretty much anything any pokemon game has to offer. It's weirdly both one of the easier and hardest ones, Eternatus is nasty to but not as nasty as Ultra Necrozma.
