He's still somewhat of a threat. unlike Eggman who's become nothing but a Angry Neighbor for the past few years. but I'm glad that in SOnic Mainia and Sonic FOrces. There's a balance between comedic and serious Eggman like he was in Unleashed.

Actually, if you think about it, Manipulation is similar to Possession, both are controlling their host. Dark Bowser is a part of bowser, in a way, and Dark Fawful/Dark Star is manipulating him for their own amusement. Remember, dark bowser is a separate entity of the dark star, who wants to be whole again. And the same way Mario, Luigi, and Starlow have their manipulative role of helping bowser, the other side has theirs for their own amusement. But yes, it's not Possession, Its Manipulation. But, they both control whoever their controlling.
