Personally I would like all the animal buddies to make a return. Bare minimum would be Enguarde and Squawks providing actual gameplay help. Though I did like Squawks telling you when a bonus level was close by.

I know when it comes to the donkey games that the kongs are the main hero characters, but I think it'll be cool if there was a spinoff where the kongs end up getting captured and you have to play as the animal friends with different abilities and powers to save them

I know from the bottom of my heart that Rambi the Rhino will be in the next new future Donkey Kong Country game in the Donkey Kong Country franchise. Rambi the Rhino is Donkey Kong's best friend and he's one of the most iconic animal buddies of all time.

Yoshi was the first "power up" that was a cool animal friend, and Rare took the idea and continued it so well. Rambi, Enguarde, Squitter and the other animal friends are the best.

@@malhaomalhoa7486 Yeah, Rare's designs were a awesome blend of reality and cartoonish characters. They looked like animatronics or something. They didnt look or feel like they were made for children. That goes for the entire vibe of the games. New DK seems like something from Madagascar.
