If you ask me... All of Nintendo's final bosses are particularly unnerving... Giygas, no doubt about it. The Masked Man from Mother 3 is also nightmarish... Kirby's final bosses, especially are unnerving that almost reach Castlevania levels of scariness (especially on Star Allies, where Void Termina with its emotionless heart mask looks oddly like one of the final bosses from that franchise) Blizzetta is just... I feel seriously bad that Link had to deal with a character that suddenly got possessed by an unknown Exorcist-like force and only way to fix her was to fight with her to restore her back to normal... Really traumatic at the same time... Not sure about Yoshi's Island but if we are talking about atmosphere, yep, truly takes the cake. Pluse, the idea that a baby monster turned into a gargantuan one real fast, also really speaks volumes. (music is badass btw) Paper Mario series (the original trilogy at least) is just one big creepy RPG series, and that's not to mention, Shadow Queen's unsettling behaviour on TTYD, nightmare fuel of many areas on Super Paper Mario (I AM INDEED LOOKING AT YOU, RIVER TWYGZ!!!!) and the music (STILL LOOKING AT YOU, RIVER TWYGZ!!! YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANNOT HIDE!!!) all add up to the creepiness and the trauma that it caused to millions of gamers worldwide...
